There will be one round per week.
You will compete with one other competitor in a match, for each round.
Matches will be chosen randomly, and announced at the beginning of every round.
Tournament is single elimination, so if you lose once you are out.
If there is an uneven amount of competitors for any given round, the competitor with the current largest winning margin will automatically advance to the next round.(rule will be amended)

themes11vi.jpg

There will be a different theme for each match.
Themes will be chosen at random.
Anyone can suggest a theme for the tournament.
Since each theme will only be used for 2 photos, the theme can be very specific.
Not all themes will be used.

photoshop18ex.jpg

Photoshop rules from the main Photomode Competition will be used, unless both competitors in a match have agreed to use either the 2.0 Advanced Competition photoshop rules, or no Photoshop.

entries15zb.jpg

Once you have been given the theme for your match, you will have 4 days to submit your entry.
All entries should be uploaded by , and sent to treefingers in a PM.
If you fail to submit an entry by the given deadline, you will automatically forfeit your match.

polls10cy.jpg

Polls will last for 3 days, and will be multiple choice.

Further explanation of how the polls will work, will be given in the main post of each poll.

If you wish you participate in the tournament, you will need to...

1. Post "Entry" in red letters, and i will add your name to the tournament list.

Add either "PMC PS" if you would prefer to use the main Photomode Competition Photoshop rules, "2.0 PS" if you would prefer to use 2.0 Advanced Competition Photoshop rules, or "NO PS" if you would prefer no photoshop at all. It will only be annonymous until the poll. That way you wont be able to see your competitors pic, and try to make a better one. So, yes, you can have a sig in your pic.You will also be able to change your entry, within the deadline.

so, this is basically a ladder match with a bit of annomity until the pole is up and since theres only two compitiors a week itll be a lighter load so time wont be an issue with this one for you like manu comp?

judging by the speed at which my gallery disappears, my pics arent good enough but id like to suggest a theme? one lap shoot outs from the mission hall focusing on the the car youve to beat or the player car.

Everyone will compete every week. It will be one vs one, with several matches. Theres no reason you shouldnt enter, if you want to. You will only be competeing against one person at a time.
Thx for the theme suggestion.

ENTRY PMC PS

"DANGER AHEAD" theme

who formulated this idea? its fantastic! is this your doing treefingers?

Entry

Theme Suggestion:
The Ultimate in British Engineering - Any post-2000 car from the UK.

lmracer

Yeah, its my idea. Thx.
I gave away my other two comps, thinking i was going to stop, because my game wasnt working right anymore, plus i had other things i had to take care of at the time. Now that i have more time again,(and a new game) but no comp to run, i had to think of something new to do. 💡 Now we just have to see how well it works.

Entry! DRIFTN

PMC PS

Theres a very similar competition running over in the GT4 Drifting forum, and it's worked out awesome over there, i hope the same success is given here.

Rival's theme, is always a good one.

Entry magburner

2.0 PS

Theme: The Night

Fantastic idea! 👍

Everyone will compete every week.

Meaning everyone who has not been eliminated? In order for this type of tournament to work perfectly you would need to have either 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 etc. competitors. Most likely this is not what happens of course. For example if you have 24 competitors you will end up with three people in semi finals. Are you trying to get to the correct 'path' as early as possible giving people free passes in early rounds, or leave it as late as possible? The former would give smaller total amount of real competing pairs but then again would make the final rounds work better. I don't think you should have a final with three people coz this would ruin the idea of pair elimination.

Actually I think you should have qualifying rounds for some of the people to get the number down to 16 (or 32 if you have more people than that). Or perhaps you could limit the number of competitors to 32 or something.

Sorry if this sounds like complaining, not my intention, this is a really great idea. 👍 Just my 0,02€.

Yes, everyone who has not been eliminated. No, it doesnt sound like complaining. I'm glad you read all the rules, and want to help. Actually its something i was still wanting to work out. I just wanted to see how many people wanted to enter before i decided exactly what to do about it. 32 would be ideal, but i cant really limit the amount, because that would leave some people out. I've been wanting to change that rule, that you quoted, but i havent figured out what to change it to yet. I'll know more about what to do when i stop the entries, a day or two before the tournament starts.

Entry garnettrules21

2.0 PS

theme: American Muscle (Yesterday & Today)

BTW this is a fantatic idea!!!!!!
