Hello:

Obviously I love GT5, please keep the flames away before reading carefully.

Polyphony Digital has always been confused. What is the point of not having events at level 31, 34, 36, 37, 38 and 39?

If the seasonal events really offered substantial experience points, then that situation will have some logic, but that is not that case.

What are we supposed to do once we reach level 30 and beyond? Just grind the game for many many hours until we can reach the required level for another event, and then do the same after winning that event?

If this is tedious on B-Spec, just imagine how that turns to be on A-Spec.

Please Polyphony Digital, do not confuse "difficult" or "massive" with "boring" and "absurd".

At least they should give experience points in practice mode. Many of us spend a lot of time there perfecting times with all of our hardly acquired vehicles.

Regardless of the above, I'm 35 A-Spec and 34 B-spec as I'm writing this, but these guys really need something to make them understand said difference.

Thank you for reading.

The whole game was poorly thought, there is no denying it. Other than the graphics of the premium cars, this feels more like it's a new team working on GT than people who have experience in Gran Turismo.

It was a new system implemented by PD in this game as the XP tree replaced the licenses in order to have race qualification. It is not well done in my opinion, but it is better than many other racing games out there.

seems to me like PD were sitting there with their feet up for 5 years thinking about selling gt5 on pure hype, then Sony decided to pull their fingers out and get it ready for release, my opinion is that they could of done away with the 200+ versions of a skyline, and mazda rx7's (not that they are bad cars) and released a game with 300 decent recent cars, no gt4 rehashes. I'd have prefered less cars but all premium, and then release the crud as dlc, so you could have it IF you fancied it....

but then again it seems like Kazunori Yamauchi spent so long pretending to be a race driver and not the doing the games designer / Director job he was supposed to be doing.

the game sold on pure hype as people wanted to see what 5 years development had given.

flame me sure but at least forza 3 took <3 years to develop and at initial release was still a more fulfilling game than gt5 turned out to be....

All of you guys have really valid points, and I couldn't agree with you more.

Polyphony Digital and Yamauchi are really starting to lose respect from rational consumers, not blind, deaf and dumb fanboys.

Another thread on the same subject that we have had many on before and the general 'disappointed' thread is the place to have this conversation (once again) to take place.
