The 962 came out a year or two after this vid was made, IIRC. The 962 was introduced to comply with IMSA regulations, and thus had a single turbo and a longer wheelbase so the driver's feet weren't ahead of the front wheels.

As for the vid itself...sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!1! 👍

Thanks for the great video!👍 It's nice to see the cars going down the Mulsanne straight without the chicanes. My son wondered if the steering wheel actually shook in the driver's hands like it does when driving the prototypes in gt4. Now he's a believer!

Very nice video.
The driver is actually Derek Bell.

I have the complete video with incar footage from his Porsche 956 on the Fuji track, Nurburgring Nordschleife and Le circuit de la sarthe.

On the nurburgring, he does a 6:41 lap. not bad at all. It was apparently the last year where such cars would race there.

On circuit de la sarthe, he actually does two laps, one with comments, one without the comments.

It's available somewhere on emule if you're interested, or i'll find a way to post it.
