"For the 2000 Paris Motor Show, Porsche prepared a concept supercar that eventually turned into a limited production car.

The concept's basic shape and specification were close the production version, which included a low-mounted V10 engine that was sourced from their scrapped Le Mans prototype program in 1999.

Two functioning concepts were produced for both the European and North American show circuits. Unlike the production version, they used an LCD to display for instrumentation, had alcantara interior and custom metal switch gear throughout.

...It's remarkable how little is changed from this to a production model.
Yeah, it looks pretty much identical to the production model. Same with the concept and production versions of the 918.

The Carrera GT is in my Top 10 All Time Favourite Cars. It is a true masterpiece and that V10 is one of the sweetest sounding engines there has ever been.

But... it is a Porsche so it ain't going to happen.

...Such a pessimist. FH2 is getting a new Porsche DLC pack soon (allegedly). So keep yer fingers (and toes...) firmly crossed.

There can be a fine line between pessimism and realism.

I have everything crossed. Never stop believing huh?

Trying to work out if you're being serious
Porsche, the laziest car designers in the business.

Amen to that. I love Porsches, but I'm not surprised at all that an ordinary person couldn't even tell the difference between a 911 and a Cayman.
