So many times the question of why Porsche isn't included in the GT series has always been answered here with similar questions of licensing issues hence the inclusion of RUF to make up for it. Earlier on I was made aware that a Porsche has existed in GT, Gran Turismo 3 to be specific.

Sorry if this is old news to anyone but to me it opens up the whole thing again - why wont PD include Porsche as they obviously had the permission at some point to include this 996 variant GT3 within the game! :)

Licensing.

10,9,8,

It was Kazunori's personal 996 911 GT3 (as seen in the Attack Gran Turismo making-of DVD). They didn't get permission and thus access to the car was removed for the first NTSC-J release - with the entire car removed from later releases.

Thanks, good reply (better than 10,9,8). I was never aware of any Porsche existing within a GT game but like I said in post 1; sorry if it's old news! Oh well, I guess we'll all just have to keep hoping that one day it happens. :)

Because of NFS games any other game maker can't use Porsche. Stupid NFS!

Only the second one. The 3rd and 4th instalment don't have porsches:grumpy:

The newest forza just got Porsche Dlc....I remember those wagons in gt4 lol I also remember the Nike car you guys remember that?

Thats probably RUF tuned, not stock GT3. 'cause GT3s are not 4WD turdbroed....

One thing I do say about GT series is they have concept vehicles that could become a real machine. No other games has concept cars like GT has (Nike car, x2010, 2011 are examples).

Er, well, it was taken out entirely in the PAL release.

That version isn't stock. It has been hybrided. The normal version has the correct specifications to the pre-refresh 996 GT3.

^I think I said its not stock...

You implied its been tuned by RUF. It hasn't been. GT3 had a very large "hybrid" community, using various methods to give cars different parts that aren't normally possible in-game. Swapping engines, drivetrains, etc.
