Well here in portugal is happening a national championship and the rules are, The best times on 2 courses with specific cars win go head to head in July and the winner will win a trip with racing lessons.

The tracks are

New York Course with the Nissan Motul Pitwork Z (JGTC) '04

and

Grand Canyon with the Subaru Impreza Pally Car '99

PPL from all over the world post your times here.

Gil and GT4MOI, please have in consideration that this is an international forum, not the Babel Tower where no one understands what others are saying. So, please write in english.

Greyowl, could you give more details about that championship? I don't have any times to share, with the few moments I have to play GT4 (from 11 PM to 2 AM) the only thing I've done so far are the license tests (all silvers and golds, I wont settle with bronze) and the first ten mission halls. I have to get my life going, you know ... :)

Nice. Count me in. :) I'll post my times tomorrow morning. I only have the chance to play at night.

And yes, posting in portuguese is not a good idea. I believe the rules are against it.

That "Babel tower" coment is funny dude, i´ll give you that. Anyways, if you have to get your life straight or in order or whatever, maybe shouldn't be too too worried about it, but still..., you got a point.

Regarding the times or championship or whatever...try to post more info guys!

Deixem mais info para a malta se juntar. Abracos! :)

We need more info on that.

For example:
HOW to post the times
WHAT is the allowed setup

Trabalhem essa questão melhor pra fazermos algo organizado.

Portuguese here too.
Anyone know how I can activate the Nitrous boost in GT4 Portuguese version?
And about change the speedometer?

R1 to activate nitrous. As for the speedometer, you can't change the layout, only by switching views.

Hi there,

i also saw at the Fnac stores that they will run a Championship at 25 - March, the winners will attend to a semi-final in Guimaraes. The final is scheduled to Paris late this year.
Anyone as any info on this one???

The only info i have is:

Car: Subaru Cusco Advan Impreza (JGTC) - 2003
Mode: Time Trial
Track: Laguna Seca

I saw that too. IRCC you have to take your memory card with a saved replay to the affiliated stores (FNAC for sure, I think the "El Corte Ingles" also, and maybe some more) so they will confirm your lap time.

I think that Amar212 in his Final Update of the PAL version talked here about it too. It's an european championship. So, I guess there will be a team (or at least one guy) for each european country, and the portuguese should be selected at that "semi-final" that will take place in Guimaraes.

Thx for the compliment (I guess), Let me clear out that the only trouble I have with my life is the litle time I can spend playing GT4 :D

Hi, I´ll have to check that for myself at Fnac, meanwhile here are my times for:
- New York/Nissan Motul: 1'23''033 (one day practice)
- Gand Canyon/Subaru 99: 2'46"934 (3 laps just for fun)
I'm concentrating for New York right now . I think its possible to take few 1/10s of a second, but still long hours of practice away from the best time possible. GT driving force pro wheel is not helping... but still much faster than handset and much precise than driving force.

Ok, spent about half an hour last night, this was my first attempt at these tracks. Did 7 laps at NY and 3 in Grand Canyon.

NY 1'31"307 - Still too slow :|
GC 2'43"069 - Not so bad, I guess, but still there's a lot of room for improvement.

What up dudes.

6:47:070 @ the 'Ring with a Merc CLK-GTR. While not the fastest time, I think it´s pretty fast.

Anyone got times in the same track with the same car?

Cheers :)

Yeah man, im lookin at 6'17. at the minute, with some time to shave, so i think youd better work.

Oh btw, thats nothing to do with this thread is it?

On topic, what direction do we travel the circuits in?
And, (Dunce question) do we have to be portuguese to enter?

hehe

I guess the name "european championship" just means that you must enter from a store located in one european country. It would be strange if - as an example - a japanese gamer living in London couldn't get his memory card with a valid replay to be admitted, just because of his nationality.

Oh, btw, do you usually shave in a particular section of the track or just wherever you hit the start/pause button?

eheh :D

The circuits are to be run on their normal versions. The cars have to be in their default settings, including tires, the only thing I'm not sure is about the use of driving aids. Anyway, I don't use them. My times will be posted here without driving aids.

Cool man, you must be using a Citation X! Where can we get it?

LOL 👍

Hi ppl,

I'm from Portugal too and i before i read this topic i haven't know about that FNAC Championship! All you need to do is practice @ home and then take your memory card with your time? And the car... maybe customizable or just stock?

About the time in other laps, i'll try when i get home 2night :P

My config suggestion is:

Game Mode: Arcade Mode / Time Trial
Tracks: New York, Grand Canyon & Laguna Seca
Cars: Nissan Motul Pitwork Z (JGTC) '04, Subaru Impreza Rally Car '99, Subaru Cusco Advan Impreza (JGTC) '03

Car setup:
Tires: R1 (DT for Rally, obvisously)
TCS: Off
ASM: Off

Run like hell and find a way to post your times here. Take a picture of the screen, for example. The screen after you leave the session would be nice, something LIKE THIS, containing all the info.

Also post if you used DF/DFP or DS.

So, what to you think? Let's make it work today if possible.

I just didn t have the time today to check fnac for entering the contest, and i m not shure about driving aids allowed and so on, maybe i ll get a litle time tomorow.
I ll run a few laps tonight agains and i ll post times tomorow if better...

Argh, my dutch GT4 hasn't arrived yet (thought I don't have time during to week to try out). Hopefully it will get here by this week, just to try those two touring cars on the Ring on stock (I'll have to look into this.... as PD "stock" is far away from real-life "stock" concerning tires and gear-ratios)...

As for a offline championship, well, it sucks really, considering that I drive in the Portuguese GPL league (yes, online!). Hmm, a 6 year old game with a stable internet program, yet "they" can't get that right on the GT4..... (sorry for the rambling).

Lets make it 3 tracks. A rally one, grand canyon surely, the ring and another track, like citta di aria or costa di amalfi, to make it in the 3 different kind of tracks that exist in GT4. I'd like to have driving aids on, so everyone can have MORE chances to try to get a good time.

as for the cars, I'd say a subaru impreza for grand canyon, a GT40 to the ring and a pegeout 206 rally to the other track.

Of curse, this can be an apart championship. i can organize a scoreboard if you can, although i won't do one until there are enough scores.
