Poseiden is your typical action disaster epic, alot like War of The worlds & The day after tommorow. But in my opinion thats no bad thing! You all know the plot so i wont bother with that.
Its not the best film in the world & everything is so unbeleivably cliche'd its ridiculous. Plus all the characters that die, before they happen its for some reason so obvious they are going to die. Thats not to say the acting in it is bad, far from it. The 2 leads played by (Snake Pliskin) Kurt Rusell & Josh Lucas are good, the characters very run of the mill, but played well. As is most of the supporting cast, except for "the kid" who you just want to slap the crap out of constantly (please stop putting young boys in films, there always annoying).
But (and its a big JLo style but) the action set pieces are truelly amazing, everything is so freakin intense, its amazing. One excellent thing that you dont see usually is when people are falling from a great height, you always get a scream and a thud, but you never see it. Not in this, we get a giant THWACK! it really works well. There was several times were i literally went "oh ****", its bloody good!!
Assuming your a human being (not a "critic") and can watch a film as a piece of entertainment, you should love this. And if you not sucked into the unbeivably intense action scenes then theres something wrong with you!
Oh and whatever you do, dont see this on a pirate, it wont work!!
