Possibility of still being able to do the money glitch?! Read below...

Is it possible to download Version 1.01 via the Internet/a website (I found a direct link to an actual download back on Monday, but I deleted the download and the link from my download history!), put it onto your PS3 via a USB Stick, decline updating to Version 1.02 and doing the glitch from there?

You CAN buy a Vision GT car under 1.01, offline, surely?

I feel that this is theoretically possible...

Any comments?

I've been trying to think of ways to get round 1.02, since its implementation back eight hours ago...

You should be able to just stop the download at the update you want like in GT5.

Possible, but I believe with the updated ToS it becomes grounds for termination of your account. Also, it's probably against AUP to share a link like that here.

Because some people don't want to wast time grinding, just so they can get the car they want, and then do it all over again. Does it really matter to you what someone else does in their game?

I'm not even a glitcher/exploiter. I usually lean towards playing legitimately. Genuinely. I have an amazing yet legitimate GT5 profile, in my honest yet justifiable opinion. Got the Platinum trophy for GT5 legit. Got 1,021 cars. And ALL of them are unique. I literally counted through each and every one of them, making sure I didn't have any duplicates...

But at other times I wasn't 'legit', such as when I copied and duplicated many Gold Chrome and Silver Chrome paints to myself. I don't play legit for things that don't require skill, basically. Doing this glitch requires the ability to understand menus. That's my reasoning. Take the extent of its coherence how you will.

Should've done the glitch and bought a ton of $20 million cars xD they each sell for 6 million cr. in 1.01. That way you get 50 million cr. and have a huge back up of cars to sell when you need more money.

Because bug exploiting is always prohibited in any MMO games out there, including GT6 I believe.

And discussing how to bug exploit a game in its "official" forum is not the right thing to do.
Especially when PD is actually selling virtual credits for money for their future development.
This glitchers will hurt PD's income and thus less money to develop GT7.

And if GT7 won't have updated engine sound because they have less money to arrange recording sessions with 1200 cars all over the world, then ALL the people will start raging like hell at the release of GT7.

And if maybe PD start mass banning accounts who keep exploiting this glitch, there might be some unnecessary rage as well in this forum.

Good, it should be incentive to try making a good game.

If GT7 is terrible because people insist that PD should not care about fan interest, I won't blame glitchers.

The can ban accounts for a ToS violate sure, the game is still better for many with the glitch. So either don't grind because it's boring or get banned. Not much difference, at least to me.

Is car trading available in GT6 yet? I assume it's not given what I've heard. My suggestion would be to keep a backup save of a loaded garage (if possible) ready for whenever trading becomes possible.

If trading does return, save your current file, replace it with the back up, sell cars to buy new cars and trade them. No guarantee such a thing will happen though.

No direct links from one thing to the other. But you do make some good associations, mate. However, your assertions are presumptions, and not assured... Look, I usually lean to legitimacy as I said. But I will experiment this on another account, not my main one. I got 5.7 million and 20 something cars whilst I could do the glitch, both literally and legally. PD have now changed their T&C's, and I acknowledge that. So, I won't break their codes of conduct on my primary and main account.

- efforts to get around their intentional fix are attempting to negate the latest version of game code
