I have been comparing GT5 issues between my PS3 and a friends. They have lots of lock-ups, Missing parts of the track, sound issues and general glitchyness. I have none of these. The difference is they are running a standard PS3 phat HDD (5400RPM I believe) and I am running a 250MB/s SSD. Anybody else using an SSD who is relatively bug/glitch free?

My drive is 5400 RPM 250 GB, non SSD. No bugs whatsoever.

I'm just using whatever comes with the 120gb slim, and other than some occasional texture pop-in and the crappy shadows and alphas I haven't had any problems.

I could see how having a faster drive would help the game perform, but I don't think a SSD is necessary.

I'm on a fat PS3 with 500GB drive, I've had none of the bugs you mentioned.

I have a 4 year old, 40GB Fat PS3, and I didn´t install the game. So far, the only glitch is with cars with paddle shifters. Sometimes, the driver seems really confused and keeps putting his hands on the paddles randomly. I don´t think this has something to do with the PS3 anyway. And I don´t think its a glitch. Its more like the animations were not double checked by QA, and its more like an in-game-never-fixed-error.

About real glitches like the ones you mention, I have to say that my PS3 is running GT5 super smoothly, with really low loading times(again, its good to mention that I did not install the game. wierd, is´nt it?), no jumps on graphics or sounds, no disapearing roads or cars, or freezing gameplay, and I have´nt even notice a drop on the frame rate.
