That was...interesting.

Looks a hell of a lot better then the previous ones.
 
Looks great, but apparently that trailer was just to show how awesome it cold be and get a company to actually make it.

Well, they need to think harder and not shoot it to high hell.
 
It's just a pitch, so far. An interesting and very well made pitch, but just a pitch.
 
Legend of Chun- Li was alright, I love the van damm film.
 
It looks like a snuff film. Good luck getting that into cinemas.
 
Legend of Chun-Li was clunky, terribly directed (it looked like a cut-budget 3rd class Hong Kong film) and its only redeeming grace was Kristin Kreuk was nice to look at.

I can't believe I actually sat through the whole thing.

Seriously... third class Hong Kong. Watching it, in fact, if I covered the faces of the actors, I could imagine it was shot by a Thai film crew, since some of the choreography looked like it could have been done by a Filipino film company. :lol:

After 2-3 flims about this franchise and some fans gave up on the game after MKvsDC. Mortal Kombat has reappeared and is being reintroduced

2-3 films? i only thought their were 2, and the second one sucked evin though i saw it twice in the same day when it was in theaters. i gave up on MK after Armageddon but should have on the title before Armageddon. and i have been playing MK since MK1 on genesis/sega cd or evin earlier in the arcades its always been my favroite fighter and i know from Ed Boons twitter that they are planing a new MK game and if they do make a new MK it will have to be real good to come back from the create a fatality system and not having the pit stage in Armageddon their were some other things i didn't like about or though they should have had in the game, but i have not played it in so long i cant remember

That trailer looks real good aside from it sounding like Fight club with MK character's and no mention of Outworld or other dimension as was the story line thru out all the MK games and the 2 movies. and the characters are all human?. that sounds more like they belong in Twisted Metal than MK since they are all killers then the MK story line of our world VS Outworld to save our planet from Shang Tsung. we will see how it works out if they decide to produce it. Still a good trailer though
 
I'd vote "Pretty Awesome," and then go on to say "I hope they make it." Keep it crazy, don't make the characters too ridiculous, and then go from there. Luke Cage is a doucher, so getting rid of him was a nice touch. I'd toss it in the "campy, watch it to have fun" category, even if it may end up being a gore-fest. A proper, semi-serious, MK movie and game would be nice to see. It will be interesting to see if Warner can get my money out of it.

I think they based the majority of those movies on the TV series..
 
So much for the proposed Mortal Kombat remake that Warner Bros. Pictures had hoped to get off the ground. Still, fans of the bloody battle are in for a treat as Bloody Disgusting learned that director Kevin Tancharoen - who directed the awesome online short - will return behind the camera for a 10-episode web series dedicated to the popular video game. Penned by Tancharoen, Todd Helbing, and Aaron Helbing, star Michael Jai White leads the cast as "Major Jackson 'Jax' Briggs. Shooting will take place in Vancouver this coming February. Contested expected to be cast are: Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Durak, Kabal, Kitana/Mileena and of course Scorpion. No release date is planned, and there's no word on that R-rated remake. The only plot details we could conjure up is that a few Earthlings will fight to save the planet from Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung, two Gods ruling over parallel universes, or something to that effect.

I have been looking forward to watch this. First episode was alright. I enjoy the new darker take on the MK series this webseries has taken.

Look forward to episode 2.
