I probably had 15 more miles to go but I didn't want to chance it--there was only 1 gas station for the next 8 miles or so. Hah, running out of gas sucks...I did it in my Police car. :sly:

I have a digital guage in my Prelude, and i've gone down to 0 digits left on the meter before. How low I was I don't know, but i'm sure i've come close to running out a couple of times.

^:scared: Digital sucks ass

Yesterday I was pretty low but what made me more mad is I went further down on my way home only to find the first gas station I was going to stop at was cheaper... :grumpy:

I got some decent gas mileage this time around...check out my tripometer. :)

*edit*
I put slightly more than 10 gallons in my tank before I reset the tripometer.

Just filled up my car 408 miles later, the warning light flashed on a few times on hills but otherwise was fine. Could probably get 450 miles but I'd rather not chance it. :nervous:

Still atleast now I know the bulb works ;)

I don't have a warning light, I've only pushed it down to the peg once though...

Driving with less than a 1/4-1/8 tank or so is really bad for the fuel pump, it needs to be immersed in fuel or it will overheat and burn out (or it's life will be shortened significantly....)

I dont have any pictures of near emtpy only a half full/empty pic.

Not all electric fuel pumps are intank, but yes its not good to run them dry and they surge.

I don't have a fuel light in my car... It would have been helpful a few months back, to remind me I had no fuel when I ran out of gas in an indian reserve at night... As it turns out, unlike most cars I've driven, when it hits 'E', it's on fumes ('95 Neon owners be warned).
