So I've had this problem before, but this time I haven't been able to fix it.
I run a racing league called the NES, and spoiler tabs are very frequently used to save space on the season 5 thread (which is still under construction at the time of posting). My decal specialist updated the number board decals, so I edited the tab in post #3 called "Livery Regulations" to have the links to the new decals instead of the old ones. After I had done that, I noticed that after I had saved the post it generated another "Livery Regulations" spoiler tab, right before the point that I had just edited.
After going back to edit the post I removed the spoiler=" and the /spoiler that had generated and saved it again. The extra spoiler tab generated itself again. I then tried merging some words and paragraphs together temporarily at the trouble point, as that had worked for me before with this issue, but it hasn't on this occasion. Now I am out of ideas as to how I can stop this extra spoiler tab from generating.
This is quite a concern of mine as there's still a few more parts of the post that will need to be edited before I can get the season rolling. I designed the thread on a smartphone. Here's a link:

As I said, I'm out of ideas as to how I can fix this myself, so I ask the moderators or anyone else for help regarding this.
Edit: So I figured out a solution, which was to copy and paste the text in the 2nd spoiler tab above where the website was creating the spoiler=". With no text in the 2nd spoiler tab's slot, it doesn't show when saved even though it's technically still there in the edit.
Even with this way of bypassing it, I still think that something as strange as this might need investigating for the future.
