Post-count question

I've never been one to really care about my post count.

However this morning I checked my profile and noticed that a major 150 posts or so were gone from my post count.

I have no idea what has caused this. Could it potentially be that a very popular thread got deleted? Or did I possibly do something wrong that may have caused this?
 
I do believe that if a thread gets deleted, your posts from that thread are removed from the statistics too. Happens in all other forums I've been to, so GTP probably wouldn't make an exception.

That's what I was thinking, although it must've been a very large thread to result in the deletion of 150 posts when I only have (er, had) 1,200 to start with.

If you happened to have had posts in Guardian's Guess the car thread (GT5), then that might the reason since it was recently deleted.

I do believe I had a few posts in that thread so it's very likely that that was the cause, since posts were in high quantities in that thread.

Explains me. Haha, I lost like 400 posts, I just got to 2,000 a week ago.
 
Yep - missing posts would be due to removal of a thread and as it so happens, the 'Guess the Car GT5' thread bit the dust last week, taking I think 2,500 posts away into the ether at the same time.

Same with me I guess. I had over 1,500 posts before. I'm not fussed about it to be honest.

Because the OP of the original one got himself banned and a replacement thread was created. As the old one didn't add anything to the forums, and the info in it was now useless, and to stop that useless information coming up in searches, it was deleted.
