Post count threads - bad idea

First off, nobody cares what your post count is.

Second off, they inevitable lead to a bunch of crap posts like the latest one immediately did. The original poster did not intend that to happen, I understand. But a number of idiots felt it necessary to spam it up just to increase their counts.

ash666, I'm talking to you, boy. You lost all those posts when I recycled the thread. And I can reset your post count to zero any time I want, so don't do that again.

Didn't see me making a thread when I hit 10,000 - nosiree. I just changed my avatar to a barred X, and only two people got it (that I'm aware of).

I get a lot of this kinda crap on other forums i use. People showing off because they aren't called newbies anymore, and useless posts just to jack up the user's postcount and status. It's the biggest problem i have when moderating, and it's good to see gtplanet are on top of it too 👍
