Just a simple idea...

How about a feature, where - if you double-post, you could use a small button (positioned next to the Edit and Quote buttons), which would allow you to merge your 2nd post into the 1st one.

When you press the 'merge' button, you are then taken to a page where you select the 'merge' button on the selected post, then the post would be merged into one.

FYI - this feature was thought up mainly for people who only double-post very rarely; not for people who continue double posting frequently.

It would save the mods from having to continually do it themselves.
Any thoughts? :)

A more simple and easy method is to edit the second post, put it into the first, then put a "." in the second post or "double post".

You can also report your second post and ask a mod to delete it.

I dont think what Guard said is important, more important is a thing which makes images to links when quoting.

As a premium member, you can close, move or copy your own thread.

Yeah...but what relevance does that have?

And as for what Grayfox said: It was mainly to avoid having to leave a '[Deleted]' or '.' in the 2nd post. :)

I second this. I know of a site that automatically merges double posts within 48 hours of each other. After 48 hours you can double post in that topic.
