Just noticed that, as a standard member during GTPX and GTP11, the post per page limit was 20. However, I just realised the cap has been raised to 30. Is this a glitch which has made a Premium feature available to me or is this intentional? Just curious as this wasn't in the change log unless my eyes are working against me today.

It's normal. The new forum software doesn't support per-user posts-per-page settings, so 30 is the new global default.

Is there anyway we could increase this limit to 40, or was it decided at that number in a mod meeting?

No, it's set at 30. I made the decision after a lot of testing; of course, there is no single answer which will satisfy everyone, and the posts per page must be suitable for a wide range of conditions (mobile devices, image-heavy threads, video threads, etc.). I'm optimistic that a user-selectable option will return in the future, which clearly is the best option, but it's at least a temporary compromise which had to be made.

That's fine, I was just curious. I like the way there's a little alert down the bottom when someone has quoted a post of yours.

So that means that it's 30 across the board for everyone? So the premium people can't add more or less or anything?

I hope that's high on a to-do list. Annoys me the most about the new layout.

I quite enjoyed the 100 post per page premium advantage. As I work on a laptop it was easier for me.
