Alright. I have a suggestion for a new forum in the Off-Topic.

Like at a couple of other boards, we should probably have a "Post Your.." or "Poll" forum for random polls. I see lots of polls in the Electronics forum like "What Phone Do You Have", "What iPod Do You Have" etc., and it really clutters it. If I go there, it's nice to be able to see if my question is answered on the 1st page, rather than have 20 polls move it back 3 pages.

Just an idea. I'm thinking polls in the Opinion Forum and such could stay (GT4 forums too). I'm just thinking all random polls could go there.
 
Well, the poll is secondary to the topic. I have to say that the intellect required to create a thread "What iPod do you have" and then stick a poll in it (usually with only half the available options listed, so we have to add them in in post-production) is much lower than that required to actually kick off some sort of discussion on it. The fact that I have a 40GB 4th-gen iPod is significantly less interesting than why I chose that one at the time.

It's harder to draw out the background information from a poster, but that is not in itself a reason to segregate out all the polls.

I vote 'nay' to the suggestion.
 
I actually don't think that the rumble strip should count towards post count at all, but that's just me.
 
Frankly, I don't think anyone is going to think "Man, I really feel like voting for something, I better visit the Poll forum."

I don't think it will get much visitors at all.

Why not? It's not spam, threads like the "How many replies can we get" and the conversation threads attracted spam, but the rumble strip threads are on a topic, if you spam in them you'll get told off just like if you spam in a GT4 therad in in the automotive forums.

I think it's a good idea, as now the "Post your..." threads can be found from one central location.

Maybe a Forum Games forum? 💡

We could move all of our "Rate Your" topics there, and have new ones made there. Maybe even make it not count towards your postcount :D
