So, just for the record, I've been a member here for over five years and have more than 7,500 posts...

In this time I've always been very sarcastic and have even made a name for myself as being like so. To the point that a lot of people don't get my humor, but I try to stay away from flame wars about that.

Whoopdeedoo, as luck would have it, after said 5 years and 7500+ posts, I'm getting a warning for trolling and posting style... I mean, I've posted like that for so long and now it's cause for a warning?

I was already against getting a 25 point infraction for the stupid rep system (which isn't even around anymore) but I kept my cool and only (fruitlessly) flamed Duke... but now I get a warning for posting in the same way I've always posted. If you've been around lately, you might've noticed I haven't... and I guess I'll be around less often thanks to these retarded warnings.

Now, tell the other half of that story, my friend - you and a few others are why the stupid rep system isn't around any more. 99.5% of the people here had no problems with it and didn't abuse it. It's spilled milk under the bridge at this point, but own up to your responsibilities.

On the current topic, don't forget that you did change your name recently. It's not always immediately obvious who is who in such a case. And although there is a single set of rules for both new fish and old fish alike, staff learns to identify who can be trusted not to push too far and who can't be trusted. But with new users we don't have that information yet, so we err on the side of correcting them in order to set a clear picture of our expectations.

So even though you are an old user, you got one of those little 'corrections' because you were perceived as a new user.

though it was because of that that I didn't flame Pupik or go as far as reporting him. He did mention that given that I've been a member for such a long time, I should know the rules, bla bla bla...

Since you want to make this public and call out my name: Tell us why you should be allowed to post off-topic, when it is not permissible for others to do so? Tell us why you think you should be able to treat threads like a chat room?

Oh, that's because I/we don't get your "style" of posting. Sure; I've only been here over 6 years, and I've never ran into your posts before, Diego440.

I gave you a personal warning since I do respect the fact you've been here for a while. You even went as far as to call us "friggin nazis" because you continued to slowchat against the tide of the thread...not even along with the gist of the conversation! So yes, we (another mod and I) deleted your off-topic posts. We do it to all members who post in an unsatisfactory manner, whether troll or established GTP member.

GTPlanet is not a chatroom. End of story.

We've exchanged opinions in the past, but not very often, tbh. Either way, I'm over this; I created a thread about it because I didn't want it to stay at a verbal warning and have you think I was alright with it because you said so.
