I got this email at work today, forwarded from a co-worker ...

We are again overfull at the Beebe Shelter (Beebe Animal Control) We will have to Euthanize dogs this Friday, Oct. 1st. Most everyone we have is fairly young and most are purebreds... unfortunately this will not stop them from dying if we don't get rescues or adopters. Please please help us not to have to kill these dogs...

There is NO pull fee for these dogs, but they have to be moved before Friday!!! Pictures are at the links...

Jesse is a young (10 month-1 year old) male intact Golden Retriever. He is stunningly beautiful with a personality to match.

Tori is a red and white Pit Bull Terrier about 6-7 months of age. She is a charming and sweet lady who has no problems with people or other animals. Pit Bulls get such bad reps, but it's the owners who cause the problems. Please consider saving Tori's life. I assure you she is worth it.

Bam Bam is a female Newfie mix with a wiggle to her behind and a smile ALWAYS on her face... Yet she is another large fluffy black dog.. So her chances are slim.. please save her life. She is young yet.. about 10 months old if that

Brandon is a purebred Blue Heeler complete with the docked tail and natural herding instincts. He is personable and loves to be with people. He will lose his life this Friday if not saved.

Please help us save their lives... they are all wonderful dogs...

Look at the dogs in these pictuers. I can't believe no one has taken them home. And this is just one little shelter in one tiny town. Think of all the dogs across the country ... I'm amazed. I guess this is just another form of bad parenting. People who don't take care of their animals, make more animals, and they over run the place.

If you've ever wanted a dog, I urge you to go rescue one as soon as you're able. You're pretty likely to end up with a very loving, loyal dog. They usually happy to just have someone care for them.

Anyone else here have a rescued dog? Jake (my dog) has been great - a bit hyper, but good none the less.

We don't have any dogs, but we've gotten every cat we've ever had either from a shelter or from being an actual stray. I would never do anything else.

Yeah, me either. I want to pick up a new dog at least every year. I know that's crazy over zealous, and in some places against the law, but hopefully I'll have a decent sized piece of land for them to play on in the future.

Where I live a person can have a maximum of four cats. I don't know about dogs - should probably check that out.

We "rescued" our cat from the animal welfare(sp?) place. But shes not a dog.
Some of the dogs there looked real lonley. I wanted to take one home.:(

I cant stand to see dogs with no real homes. I just want to take them! They'd make good friends with my other two dogs. Except one has 3 legs so they could hurt him.

I got two of my cats from a rescue, and the third I rescued myself from a parking lot near my former employer. She was two weeks old.

My dog is an expensive purebred Siberian Husky, and a royal pain the ass.

At least those dogs are better off in a pound than they are running rampant through the streets. Seeing stray dogs running around the streets upsets me. Seeing dead ones on the side of the road (cats too) will ruin my entire day.

I couldn't bear to see a shih-tzu Euthanized.(or any dog, for that matter) It makes me cringe.

💡 I got my 3 legged German sheperd from a shelter. She is great!

I found my dog in a park about about two hours away from where I live. She's a complete goofball and a blast to play with when she's hyper.

Can anyone tell me where the hell this 'Beebe Animal Control' is located, and if it's possible to adopt dogs if you're out of state? I'd do anything for Jesse. That dog is absolutely beautiful, and reminds me so much of my first dog, Brandi.:(

Most likely the reason they were strays. People just think that way. But I must admit they are gorgeous dogs, but we already have 2 dogs. A Jack Russel Terrier named "Jak". And a Schnoodle(half poople half minature shnauzer) names "Zoe".

We have two dogs, one of which is from the pound. She is 6-year-old mutt, and shes a doll. The other one we got from a pet store (that buys from breeders, not puppy mills) and she is a cute little pain.

My girlfriend loves dogs and her current and previous dogs were from the pound. She plans to volunteer at a "No-Kill" animal shelter.
