I am having issues with my PC now, I think the culprit is my PSU so I need a replacement.

This is my system:

Videocard: Sapphire X1800XT 256MB
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Mainboard: Asus M2N-E AM2 nForce 570 Ultra
Memory: DDR2 800 2x512MB Corsair XMS2
Soundcard: Audigy 2 ZS & Sennheiser HD 212 DJ
PSU: COOLMAX 500W +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A

Soon I will be adding another 2GB of the same memory.

I am thinking about these two PSU, please tell me what you think of them or if I can get a better deal:

Of the 2 I would go for the OCZ. At $79.99 thats a good price. The only other PSU's I would look would be Corsair's but the CORSAIR HX CMPSU-520HX 520W @ Club-It for $89.99 is sold out and Newegg wants way too much for it.

What type of issues are you having? A 500w psu should be more than enough to power an X1800XT since it only requires 450w.

I'm running an Athlon64 X2 4600+ with 2Gb DDR-II and a 8600GT and 2 x 250GB Sata drives off a 250w PSU... 500W should be more than sufficient...

[Edit:] Same chipset as well...

Oh dear God. I hope you didn't get that Ultra PSU. The componetry is in a class bracket way below what they are selling/advertising it for...

I have seen them catch fire under moderate load in person. Quite sad.

OCZ>Ultra. I would go for a PC P&C or Corsair or FSP or Tagan or Coolermaster or many others. :D

I run a GameXstream 600W OCZ in mine. No issues yet.

Now I need to find a chunk of wood, I suppose.

There have been a couple rare reports of bad PSU's from OCZ (All were the 700w GamerXtream) but most seem good.

I say spend a good chunk of cash on your PSU. It's the most important component in the computer. Not only will it not run without a PSU, but if the PSU dies, it could very easily take all of your components with it!
