Last night after downloading the new patch i proceeded to change the oil and wash two of my nascar's prior to going racing online. Performance points before race 704 on 3 of my cars. Raced a short 17 lap race at Daytona and my performance points then drop to 632. So I decide to race another car that was at 704 to start, sure enough after the race down to 632 this also happened with one more car after this. Once i was done with my online racing i went to the GT Auto to change oil, wash, and do chasis maintenance to see if that would bring back my PP and it didn't. I just did the engine overhaul two days ago so i highly doubt that is gonna restore it back to 704 pp. Anyone else notice this issue or can explain what may be going on. The cars i have each have 1,000+ miles and oil change regularly.

So, what you are saying is that your PP has dropped.

Correct me if I'm wrong please. :)

Your not the only one that experienced, this person has had same problem from the sounds of it.

The answer is down to the fact that they have made it so tyres don't count towards PP any more. However, the old PP stats aren't updated until you view a car's tuning screen. It seems they have normalised the PP to one of the Sports tyres (probably, didn't look too far into it), so if your car was on Racing tyres, its PP will drop when you view it for the first time after 1.07, and if it was on Comforts, it will go up.

I'm not sure that's right, I 'm sorta speculating but, I think they actually rewrote/changed/tweaked the PP formula. Some cars in my garage that had racing softs went up, some went down. The ones that went up were typically lightweights ie. caterham, marcos etc. This would suggest that weight or power to weight has a heavier weighting in PP.

Ok, it's probably a bit more complicated than I guessed at first! I was just basing it on all my LMP and other supercars dropping in PP and all my rubbish low powered ones rising.

It's rather annoying that it only updates when you view the car though. Until you've looked at every car in your garage, you'll have a mix of old and new PP values.

Actually, having checked a couple of hundred cars out, I think I was right the first time. They all seem to be normalised to Sports Medium. I've not had any exceptions, apart from 1 car which was already on SM and went up by 1PP, which could be down to the same thing that causes BHP to slightly vary according to where you view it.
