PP Online annoyances

I'm getting tired of joining rooms where these d-bags set points exactly to what their favorite car is. "My room is 673 PP". Oh yea, I wonder why? It's making the open lobby damn near useless. They should make the scale adjust by 20's or something instead of singles.

Of course, once the race is over that they win, they switch cars and then SURPRISE!, the PP changes to 552 or whatever.

Are you not adjusting your PP to match theirs? That's the point, you can match cars to make them perform as evenly as possible. In case you're unsure, all you have to do is adjust the power output and aerodynamics in the car set-up menu. That will change the PP of the chosen car. Yes, there are discrepancies and the cars won't perform identically but it allows you to choose a car and make it competitive.
 
Racing somewhere else is always an option, but I got to agree with jaysvw.

I feel like I spend more time looking for a good room than actually racing.
 
Just take one of your favourite car will a little higher PP than the rooms limit. Then you use the engine power limiter to get the PP down to the exact PP limit of the room. Or you can just add a little ballast with the same result. Or both

i was in a 640 pp room, and wanted to use my pennzoil GTR, on the screen it shows 630 pp,
but when i want to start it won't let me, saying the car is 663 pp, although it clearly shows 630
anyone else has this?

There is a bug whereby your PP is not updated when you change your tyres. Try returning from the car settings and then re-enter settings - recheck your PP.

Adjust your settings to be at the same PP.Pretty easy to do or make your own room with your favourite car and PP.:)
 
Man i know exactly what you mean by those dbags. Its the same with for example those rooms with 370 bhp 970 kg for example they just create rooms to compete with their best and as so i only join rooms with for example 625,650,675 cause i tuned my rides like that!
