I have mentioned the aston before that raises pp when lowering the hp or adding weight. Why is there no pp added when set up whith racing suspenion etc. Is there also any pp added if you shifting weight from front to rear and vice versa? I mean, it could do something if you have car that is badly balanced. I have a slight memory that the gt4 had some system that raised pp when buying gearbox, suspension and other drivetrain-stuff.

If I remember correctly, I don't recall there being a Performance Points system in GT4, don't quote me on that though, its been a few months since I've broken out the PS2. But the only things that change PP (to my knowledge) are ballast, changing horsepower, or changing aerodynamics. Shifting weight doesn't change PP seeing as that is tilted more towards driver preference/performance and not vehicle performance. How I think of it is that mostly anything (other than drivetrain/suspension) that doesn't change the actual specs of the car doesn't change PP. For the most part.

GT4 had A-Spec points, which were probably much simpler than PP.

Ballast location does change PP. Suspension and all those things probably should, but only in an "on/off" way, ie having race suspension = 5 points no matter how it is set up. Aero should be like this too, but it would require realistic drag.

As for why PD didn't make it effect PP, no one knows. It was probably for the sake of making things simpler.

Yes agree! Now you have to install this sh-t in every car without any thought, because otherwhise you dont stand a chance online. My only tuning weapon now is to not changing oil and to NOT install a wing.

Oh, whoops. How did I forget that? I guess I was thinking of just a number for a car sitting in the garage.

Also a failure on my part. Long day, haven't been able to play Gran Turismo since school started .
