The AI vehicle allocation is STILL BROKEN when based on your tire selection.
I just did a few test races in Arcade Mode..., and NO WAY is this system balanced or patched. Tire changes from Sport Hard to Sport Soft resulted in a significant jump in AI vehicles based on PP numbers. In both races EVERY single AI vehicle had a PP number above mine. None were either close or under my vehicles PP number.
A few examples:
Corvette C5 (04) replaced with a Corvette C6 (06) PP diff: 506/542
GTR Proto (05) replaced with a GTR Spec V (09) PP diff: 507/535
**not to forget...., the race just isn't complete until the system throws in a F430 up against a Lotus Evora that only has a PP of 475. The 430 (I think) is something like 540
My vehicle was a Lotus Evora with EXTREMELY minute upgrades. Only changed the rims, added a spoiler, and an air filter. The only tuning I did was increase the rear down force up to 17 (two clicks above default).., and this put my PP at 475.
**to those who don't know.., changing your rims and adding a spoiler WILL increase your PP number**
