My landlord recently got a new wlan provider o2 .. best of the best I know when I try to log into my psn account it ask for a ppoe Pw and user id .. I have no clue what this is or how to find it . I've been running the ps4 over hotspot since I got o2 unlimited surf it's been kinda alright . Until it comes to updates since the new 4.55 update for the ps4 addresses wlan connection issues I thought I'd give it a try still the same
Does anyone know or had this problem ? What do I need to do is it something I can solve on my own or do I need to get In contact with my landlord?

Yes, authentication for even the wired connection is likely necessary.

Sounds like it's not set up properly. A PPPoE connection requires a firewall (or whichever network device sits in front of the modem) to provide the broadband log on information to the modem. Can you access the internet when using another device like laptop or smartphone?
