Practice mode time dq's

My question is about how if you hit a barrier or wall in practice mode, the time turns orange and it will not record your lap. Is there any way or where to turn this feature off? I like to use the practice mode to make laps and try and shave seconds off my time, but if it won't record my time, I cant see if I am doing any better from one lap to another. I see, ya I should be crashing, but if I speed through a turn and crash and my time is 5:37 a lap, I need to see the next lap that going slower through that turn will shave seconds of that lap. Any help or suggestions (other than staying on course:idea:) would be greatly appreciated
 
Well there is nothing you can do but staying on track. But you can see and save your last proper ghost.
 
If you're going off the track then you aren't getting a better lap time...

Keep it on the Track, Then if you arent crashing you know you're improving.

You don't need to see it. It's a fact.

Staying on track is the first part, finding the right line is the second part, finding the optimum power-on/power-off is the third part.
