Do the pre-set time trial records in Arcade Mode give you guys much trouble? Or, are you able to beat them pretty easily?

, I had a hellaof hard time with some of them. :D

It was a bit hard for me at first. Than after about ummm 1000000 times trying and trying i finally got em. Now its a little easy for me to beat them.:D

i wouldn't say they were easy. a definate challenge, except for Complex String. that's impossible. :)

I've just started...only beaten the first three....and it's all I can do to keep from screaming great obscenities and waking the whole family.

You too, eh? I spend so much energy controlling my emotions, that my time doesn't get any better. Kind of a reverse of a catch 22 (:

I saw somewhere that the time trials are part of the overal game completion percentage. Is that true? And how good do I have to do on the time trials for them to count?

It does count on the time trials. you have to come in 1st for it to count for the percentage.

:D, you have to beat the 1st Place preset time. You get .2% (If I remember correctly) for each Time Trial that you get a 1st place in.

Race on...

.2%? Those cheap bastiges!

HA HA! I was thinking the same thing! I haven't heard (or seen) that word in sooo long. Was that what you typed, or did it get moderated?

Not so bad after a while. Just follow your ghost car, and remember where you made mistakes to make up time on it. The real pain was the Complex string. I did that one second to last, and it took me three days of trying.

Sure would be nice if you could draft off of your ghost coming off that last curve. Maybe then you could get enough speed to blast across the finish line.

What car is used in that time trial?

Nope, I typed it that way...it's from Johnny Dangerously....a movie you MUST see if you haven't already.

Hi all (first post in this forum)

We got this online competition in Belgium (probably in other EU countries also) using the Time Attack mode in GT3.

->> ten fastest times get Sony 5.1 mini hifi set. (10 sets per track) <<-

Problem is : fastest time are not displayed untill trial period is over (14 days per track)

My question : can I have some ideas on fast times for Apricot Hill with Tom's Supra ?

(my current best is 1:17,456s, a friend of mine did 1:16,661s)

Thanks,
Sniwi.

I'm moving to Belgium to win me some Sony mini-hifi sets!! Were doing this series for the Team GTPlanet. That's what I call an incentive to race!! :D

So far beating the times have not been really great challenges.

Hmmm...he's going to all the trouble and expense of moving to Belgium to try winning a mini-5.1 setup. Hey, for the kind of money you'll spend on that venture (and possibly not win anything) you can buy a real 5.1 setup. :p

Maybe but winning a hifi for the fastest 10 times per Time Trial is!

Just noticed the internal competition here for Team GTPlanet ...

Q1 : Do you guys display the submitted times somewhere ?

Something else :
default record #1 time on EU version = 1:18,4something
default record #1 time on JP version = 1:17,452s
Q2 : what is preset record time on US version ?
Q3 : why difference ?

Great site btw !

You will need to be running 1:14.xxx or less for a really fast lap. ;)

WHAT ?????????

1:14.xxx ????

OK, back to reality for me then ...

Thanks for the info GVX, if now, you could just tell me how I get another 2 seconds off my fastest time ... (I manage to get 1:17.176s)

Any improvement expected if I go for manual i.o. automatic ?
