Decided to see about tinkering one, the '91 Si VTEC in particular, and I was wondering whether or not I should anticipate the characteristics of the 4-wheel steering system (a plus in an FF car, I'd imagine) to remain when the fully customizable suspension kit is installed.

I've never noticed any of the cars that came with actuated-4WS steering systems (Prelude, several Nissans) to exhibit the driving characteristics that the systems would generate. Kinda like how the Nissan ATTESA system isn't properly modeled.

It never occurred to me that it wouldn't be factored into the base tune of the car, and after having driven the stocker, it seems to turn in and carry a line more smoothly than FF cars with similar proportion and specification. I'll keep these replies in mind, though, and I guess I won't be too disappointed if it ends up turning into just another FF car if it does, in fact, lose abilities that it may or may not have. At least I have an idea of how to tune a car and don't need to rely on something I have no control over. Thanks for the replies.

This is something that I have never considered before, if you have already done it, does it feel the same as it did before? It would be nice if the rear steering unit remained intact. I know someone who fitted adjustable coilovers to his '91 and retained the steering system but I also know someone with a Mitsubishi who removed his rear steering for track purposes... I don't know what would be better with non stock suspension and hard driving. Would be interesting to see what the game does.
