It has to be said, basically everyone drifts with a premium car. I know you can add wings and extensions to premium cars and give it new wheels (they also look better when taking a picture of 1). Standard cars still have accurate driving physics and the same tuning options.

I want to know if you drift any standard cars (if at all), what is it. And what is your favourite standard car in your opinion.

(I would make a poll of specific cars but there is over 700 standard cars so I can't be stuffed)

It's not racism, rather descrimination.

Anyway, i'm 50/50 on the subject. I usually drift with premiums because it you can always buy the same car if you messed up on buying parts, ie engine upgrades. Its much forgiving, unlike if you make the same mistake to a standard car. I dont want to wait for a long time for the car to appear at the UCD.

Most people do drift with premiums because they like to take videos andd appearance is a crucial thing. In my behalf, I can careless because I dont take videos of it.

So I can really go either way, but to tell you the truth, I always find myself drifting with the 04 M3.

Changed the title to something a bit more appropriate :)

The only reason I prefer premium is the detailed cockpit view otherwise I'd regularly use some of my standards.

50-50 on subject as well, probably if we had similar customisations for standard cars I lean more towards them. But the detail doesn't bother me as I drift with roof cam.

Most of my drift cars are standards and in my opinion I would rather have them there than not have them at all.

For example Toyota Supra, Toyota Aristo, Nissan 180sx, Nissan S14s, older gen RWD Skylines, E46 M3s and many others are cars which spring to mind.

The game has over a thousand cars for a reason, and to only use a small percentage of them just because you can't add wheels or aero parts is just pointless, cars are to be driven not looked at!

I've got plenty of standard drift cars, supra, lexus, r32, s14 etc. but I'm using a premium car atm (Z33S).

Like most i have split but i tend to lean more towards the standard cars 70 % of the time.

97 supra, 98 lexus is, mgtf 160, zz-s, nissan 270, z tune and more besides.

The AE86, Chaser, S14, GS300, Supra and the Soarer have to be my faves from the standart cars for drifting (Y)

the only reason i would use a standard car is because it dosnt have a premium model. I will never use the standard s15 for instance.

Only standards i drift are 86's ,180sx,chaser,soarer sometimes and r32 gts..nuff said

From my top 100 drift cars in the game, its easy to say that i have more Standard Cars than Premiums... maybe 70%/30%.

I love your cars 👍 they look great. My first ever drift car was a 400R in GT4. In GT5 I still drift it as well as the Trueno and Dodge Ram

I use premiums exclusively because of the interior view. Hood view isn't as immersive, only time I use it is when I am drifting near some one else out of courtesy so I don't hit them.

There's more selection with standards and they are less about who has the brightest wheels.

Nothing's quite as good as outdrifting some tarted-up muscle car with a low HP standard white cube.

Visualy speaking, the standard cars have some few advantages:
- Higher front wheel lock. (dunno why, but it is)
- Wider "hood" view. (most of cases)
- When his height is lowered, they actualy looks pretty much lower than a premium car. So low that i can forgive the lack of body kits.

I agree about the eyes melting collors on the rims. Im thinking about stop to use chameleon orange (TVR) in the rims for my premium cars, cose as more as we want, it doesn´t brings none D1 Pro Spec feeling. Maybe ill just keep everything matt black, dark rims if possible and thats it.
