'Premium' cars...

You know, I really question what they consider Premium in this game. A '71 Mach 1 Mustang, which is one of the least desirable years for a first generation Mustang is a Premium car while a Shelby GT350-R, which many consider THE ultimate Mustang is a standard car? Seriously, you can go out right now and buy a '71 Mach 1 for $10k. Go try to buy a GT350-R and IF you can find someone wanting to sell one of the few made, you had better have a couple of hundred thousand on you to start with.

Now that's just an example. There are many more that any one of us could state in a second.

So does anyone know what the criteria is for defining a Premium car?

I would sure like to know, I picked up a Saleen today, THAT CAR SHOULD BE PREMIUM! Sorry for the caps.
 
I believe PD just tried to select a diverse range of cars (well + every skyline) to fully model as premium.
 
The premiums are basically all new cars to the series plus some of PD's favorites from the older games.

I've owned three 1st generation Mustangs (65,66, and 68 GT, and to be honest, it's kind of offensive. :) Next thing you know, they'll have a '74 Mustang II...

Maybe a little whining here, but it's a legitimate question...
 
We've been down this road before. I'm in no hurry to take another forced death march down it.
