Hi Guys,

I'm sorry for starting a thread about this, but for some reason, it seems like my premium status has been revoked. And as such, I can no longer send or receive private messages. Possibly because I'm over the limit.

Actually there's a few funny things going on, but I think its all related. Can somebody please check this out for me.

Thanks

Revoked? No. It more likely expired.

As for your inbox issue you can just empty it; click on "Private Messages" in the yellow box, and in the "Folder Controls" section at top next to where it says how many messages you have of the maximum allowed click on "Empty Folder".

Problem solved.

No, it's not expired. I paid for a lifetime membership. But it's more than that. It's almost as if my status has been reset to new users. I can no longer even edit my own forum posts.

But either way, I don't really want to get rid of my messages.

Hm. Might want to PM Jordan then.

I do find it odd that you can't edit your own posts as that isn't attributed to any status quo, so to speak. You just need to be a registered member and have a post to edit. Are you doing this from a mobile device or something?

EDIT: Tree'd. I forgot all about that. Damn.

Try that.

EDIT: The system is awaiting email confirmation from you.

Thanks Dan, that sort of worked. Although it's strange, there was nothing wrong with the email address I had on file. I'll probably change it back to what it was eventually. But it still looks like I've lost my premium status. Anything you can do about that?

Sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it. You need Jordan to sort that one out. He checks this forum regularly though, so it shouldn't be too long before it's sorted.

I had the same problem and the e-mail was in the spam folder so I'd try there. Otherwise you can change the e-mail address on your account if you want to try a different one. You won't lose your premium status, Jordan was great in helping me out with it 👍

Thanks guys. I'll wait for Jordan to hopefully come by this thread and change my premium status back. But the email verification that started all of this is a weird one. It's my main email account and this is also where I receive email notifications when I receive PMs here on GTP. There was nothing in my junk filter. I can't figure that one out.

I'm very sorry for the trouble, jjaisli - the issue is related to this and I've re-activated your subscription now. I just reviewed the email logs, and can confirm GTPlanet's server has been unable to connect to your ISP's email server to deliver messages (an SMTP 421 error, to be precise) since August 28th, and subsequently de-activated your account.

Thanks a lot Jordan. I'm really at a loss to explain it. I know that email address is active and functional as I've received more than a dozen emails to that account since I posted this morning. Odd. Perhaps it was a temporary glitch resulting from the Hurricane as it is a NY based ISP. Either way, thanks for restoring things.
