I'm racing the Pro 4WD Cup in my stock powered ZZII, and I'm getting pretty bored. I won the 1st race by more than a lap. So on the second race - Laguna Seca - I decide to stick with the AI, and on the last lap pass them.

So I'm sitting back in second, with an Audi S4 in front of me, and a Skyline R32 behind me. It comes to the last lap, I'm all ready to pass the S4 on the last corner. I had a bad run into the second-last corner, and ended up about 5 car lengths behind. So I try to make it up in the last corner. I brake late, pass the S4... only to run wide on the exit of the corner, get passed, and come second. :O

In the end I reloaded the game, did the same thing but made sure I was up close into the last corner, and passed the new first place - another Skyline - on the main straight of the last lap.

Pretty embarassing! :O

Why yes, yes I did. See, it's those blasted Raccoon Powahs at work again. ;)

Ah, so why don't you just use a slower 4WD car so you don't have to hang back. :odd:

Beacuse it's the only 4WD in my garage besides the 'Scud!

Oh...ok...how many cars have you got in your garage by the way?

About 25. I'm not a big fan of huuuuuuuge garages.

About 190 for me...every car in the game resides there with a few duplicates of my faves. :)

Well. I couldn't even begin to plow through that many cars.

Whoooooo.... I have something like ... erm... 120++ cars in my garage. Can't remember.

Heh, I thought you were going to make a sarcastic comment at me, Shant.

Seen the avatar? ;)

Thanks. Nice find on yours, by the way - Sand storm, pah!

Heh - :D

We are going off-topic. Somebody! Quickly! Say something about SandStorm's stupidness! LOL

;) J/K

"Some people call me stupid. Well, I don't mind, because it's a person's willingness to explore the stupidness that makes them genius." :p

:grumpy: Don't steal that!

But in your case, that line doesn't seem to apply well. :p Haha!!

I'll steal whatever I want. :p

And any line looks good on me. So there. :grumpy:

LOL :p

Anyway where did you get that one? I used to have it in my Profile/Sig a long time ago... you wrote that down or something?

"Missing a corner and losing a race because you were cutting the AI a break"

That's what passes for "embarrassing" in these forums? You guys must be good.

I've done plenty of stuff far worse than that:

Lost control of a Lotus Elise Motor Sport at under 40mph and spun it out (full 360) ... on GREEN tires.

Lost races despite having a triple digit horsepower advantage.

Rear-ending/pushing the lead car across the start finish line instead of passing it because I mis-timed my jump out of his draft.

Your idea of embarrassing is my idea of a proud moment; being good enough to be able to risk giving the AI a break ... and in the Pro series no less!

for me every race in the pro series is embarassing...

I never have any embarrassing races. I lose all the time.
Most of the time it's on purpose. (i.e doing the 'Like the wind' race with a 311hp+ Integra and getting 4th place, or doing the Rome enduro with the same car and getting 3rd).

My win ratio is something like 63%. (1200+ races - 800+ wins)
