I've just discovered how much the cars were expensive in GT5 over GT6. Some of the racing cars more than double. Considering you now can have 2 mazdas 787Bs, except of one and still have money for enzo is quite something. And there's more... I know I'm a bit late with this, just that I said goodbye to my GT5 and realized that. ;)

Yeah but still, when you go now through the carrier with 5 day bonus + those milion events like X challange, Senna tribute and stuff, you get much more credits. Special events in GT5 weren't that pricey ;) I think that PD are making this balanced as never and I'm glad. Now I have like obout 200 cars and still never go with money under 8 milion credits. :D Though when you sell your cars you should be able to get at least 50-70% of what they cost. I would love to have used car dealership with ability to sell your cars there, also auction would be great ;) Oh man that game can be so much better, I'm so much looking foward to GT7.

Sorry for going off-topic, but...

.........Thanks to Micro-transaction, economy in GT6 is warped. Credits are harder to come by if you don't grind - and price adjustments on tuning parts mean it costs slightly more than before to get a car to your liking. And if you wanna possess a decent garage of cars, like Ferrari 250 or a couple of LMP1s? Oh boy. If only online MPs gave away credits....

Credits are harder to earn now so it's balanced out. Now if we could just resell a car for 80% of what we payed for it, that'd be nice.

I think certain cars should appreciate in value. I also think (with some cars) upgrades should count toward resale value, while with others original showroom condition (paint and all) should account for something.

It should be pointed out that although many of the higher priced cars have been lowered back down to more sane levels, "regular" cars (the kind that you spend most of the game dealing with in the early game where credits are hardest to come by) are still (unless PD have really gone after rebalancing the game) generally double what they were in the GT4 and earlier days; and credits still take much more work to get than they did in the games prior to GT6.

yeah... it makes me wonder whether or not they intended some sort of inflation to happen, or if it is all generalized..

And the same for GTA.. why is story mode so cheap, but online prices are ridiculous..
