A friend and I once did a competition in which we had a limitied amount to spend, buying, building, and racing a car. Would anyone be interested in such a challenge?

We've actually had quite a few of those. I think they're the most fun, and people get really creative with it as well. Good numbers to work with are somewhere between 100,000 and 150,000 credits. That way you can either get a cheap car and fully load it, or get an expensive car and put good tires and shocks on it.

Keep in mind, you need to make it all inclusive. Purchasing the car, all the parts, oil change, everything. And anyone who turns in a competetive time needs to report all the money they spent in an itemized list so that other members can check to see if he / she is cheating.

Best of luck! This is one of my favorite competitions, when I have time for them.

I'd be in for sure. I'll be looking for the race as soon as possible.

I'd had a feeling it had probably been done before, but I figured it'd be cool to do it again. I'm probably not going to run myself in the race, cause I suck, though.... (I couldn't do the S license after several months of trying......)

I'm also thinking of a few other things, too, like Spec Miata. I think it'd be interesting to emulate the rules of the real Spec Miata series in GT.

Lets get it started!

Yes - it's been done many times before but is always popular.

Go for it.

Yeah I love these kind of challenges but 100-150k sounds kind of high. I think its better to make the car decision tougher to make.
