I just got the disc image of the prius preview edition of gt4 and I was wondering if it could be burned on a cd-r and not only a dvd-r because it is only around 700 mb. Also, do i need a mod chip for imports or is there a boot disc i can get? Any help is greatly appreatiated. Thanks

Umm...

Haven't got the faintest idea what you're talking about, but if it's anything at all to do with ripping off software, that is stricly forbidden by this site's Acceptable Use Policy and Terms Of Service. So you may want to edit your post...

Need a modchip, or one o thems slide cards. I'm not condoning you downloading this demo, but if you don't actually buy GT4 legitimately you deserve a good solid kick in the head.

I mean isn't the only other way to get that demo, is to go to Japan and buy a Prius?

And even if you got it you would have to use a modchip or slide card if you dont have a Japanese ps2 and im buying gt4 as I did with gt3 and now especially with gt4 as I want to play it online!!!!

I'm downloading that Prius demo, i'm also going to try and buy GT Prolouge. Although i'd rather buy it from Computer Exchange off Oxford street, but i'll order it from the net if I can't.

sorry i failed to inform everybody about my opinions on piracy. I will by no means suck any income from the bountiful tit of income that gt4 will no doubt recieve but i turned to the prius demo because:
A-its free in japan with a test drive
B-it should be free here
C-I should get a test drive

I will consider buying prolouge but i was just wondering how to get the prius demo without getting a mod chip(which i wont need otherwise) or a dvd burner. thanks for your help

700 megs is a single cdr. Burnt in Mode 2 or Disk @ once. I'm not sure, but i think it's still breaking copyright laws to burn it, isn't it?

Depends in what country you are when copying the game, there are still countries even in EU that allows the inidividual user to use hacked sat cards, dll mp3s, games ect

Interesting fact #1: In the UK, ownership of a DVD/CD/Video/Cassette does not give you physical ownership of the object (the company can come take it back whenever they feel like it), but DOES give you personal usage licence on the information contained on it.

This means that if you buy a cheap tape with a song on it, you are legally allowed to download it off KaZaA (et al.), to play on your computer or burn onto a CD for your car.

It's distribution thats illegal, letting other people have a copy, it doesn't matter if it's for profit or not. You can make 100 copies of one DVD if you want, it would be hard to explain if police found 100 copies but it's not illegal to have 100 copies, as long as you have paid for an original copy.

And youre also allowed to give in some countries copies of the music you own to your close friends....now what close is meant in the court I dont know..

It's got one car and one track for you to race on, so I don't see why I shouldn't have downloaded it. So it's kind of like copying a demo, like anybody is going to care.

I managed a 1.22.4xx at Tskuba with the racing tyres. :D I'll post some videos tommorow.

Edit: One thing, i'm sure this is still the old engine that was used in the E3/Playstation experience version, because there are still allot of jaggies.
