Currently we have a choice between public polls and... err... polls. In both cases you can see how many votes have been cast for each option.

Is it possible to set "private" polls, where no results are shown at all until the poll closes (or visible only to the thread starter and the moderator team)?

As it stands now, especially in the photomode competitions, I feel that being able to see what has been voted for - and how much by - prejudices the polls too much. People may vote for whatever is in second because they don't like the person in first and suchlike.

No, what Famine is saying is that he wants a poll that will not show you the results until you vote in it. This would prevent bandwagon-jumping.

I've never known if the "View Results" button shows up for averyone or just for mods, but I guess it does. It would be nice if it could be arranged that way but I don't know the vBulletin config well enough. I'll see if I can find anything.

One of the selections you make when creating a poll is Public Poll, which shows the users. If you don't select this you have a private poll, which doesn't show the users who voted.

Yes, but it still shows the number of votes cast for a particular category.

The Poll, as you put it, doesn't show who voted. See here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=65087

Famine, Good idea.

Duke, I hope you're able to find something.

You can't really stop the results from being shown on only certain polls. However, we can easily prevent anyone from viewing the results of a poll until after they vote. This would effect all polls.

That would be a good idea – there's really no good reason to look at poll results before voting, in any poll.

I think that's what Famine may want.
You can't see the results until you vote. 👍

But if you refuse to vote, then you'll never know the results...

I dont really know how this forum software thing works. (this particular type) but isnt their a 'null vote' option, so you can null your vote (not choose anyone) but you can still see the results.
