Prize cars.

Okay, I just finished the Tokyo endurance race. There are 4 possible prize cars, and I got the RX7LM. I was actually very dissapointed with this, considering I could've walked with a F094 or a GT-One. How would I go about getting any of the other 3 cars? Could I redo the race and have a chance at getting the other 3 cars? How is the prize car chosen, I got the RX, does that mean if I got better lap times, I could've had a better car? Same with the oval enduro, I got away with a HOT PINK Clio. All help is appreciated. Oh yeah, to add another Q, I was running the R246 enduro and my oil light flickers on with something like 39 laps to go, I had just topped it off immediately before racing. I lost 10mph off the top, but what gives, can't I finish a long enduro without having to top off the tank? I don't think there is a way to refill it midrace, but what do you guys do?

BTW, thanks for putting up with all of the questions, this is one of my first posts. I just got a PS2/GT3 yesterday, and I'm glued to it. Mmmm Gillet Vertigo.
 
Well about how they choose the car has nothing to do with your lap times or anything like that or pressing the X button on your choice of car. It's a random pick.

As far as I know, you just have to redo the races until you get what you want. Tokyo is a bit long to do a possible 4 times, so try doing other races that will give you the same cars.

I would reccomend doing the Super Speedway race over, if any (since it is fairly short).

For the oil situation, what I do (and likely everyone else), is to just change it before and after the race. Also, remember to wash your car. It does (believe it or not) make a difference.

Is there any proof that washing your car helps with performance because im yet to hear of this :confused:
 
You got a ps2 and gt3 yesterday and you already have all your licences or just up to your IA or what ever!
 
maybe he has a memory card from playing at buddy's house

the endurance are rough.....but then in teh end, you'll probably get a copy of each F-1 car by the time you reach 100%......atleast that's what happened with me...
 
Washing your car makes a difference, it doesn't improve your performance though.
 
189 miles. That's how long your oil lasts before the light comes on. You'll start losing HP when you cross over 120-130 miles driven. Fresh oil will help after the race, but you've inevitably run the engine in past it's peak. No big deal, it's just run in at that point.

Thanks for all of the responses. I did have a save game, at 11% (I played all of that). Now I'm at 20. I've got all passed licenses up until a couple left in the S section. I hate the GT40 Seattle S license... This game is amazing. I do feel that they gave the Elise a bit too much oversteer. What can ya do... I topped off the oil, and washed my car (for good kharma) right before the race. I might do the Superspeedway enduro again, I ave 33.25 seconds/lap, so I'm fine, and I only pitted twice. I also beat out the guy in second by 20 laps. Poor guy...
