In arcade mode to get Professional, highlight HARD and hold L1 and R1 at the same time and push X. Now race really hard competitors! 😈

To get a good start, buy a Mazda Miata MX-5 and win Sunday and Clubman cup. Sell the two new cars and gain more money to buy a Camaro. Now it's an easy start from now on!!

Just go all the way and buy an escudo.... just use the Miata and $1000 a pop till you got the escudo......

The Camaro is actually a really good car. Especially in GT3. PS the SVT Cobra R is not very good, although it is very cheap. Compared to its rivals, it doesnt even hold a candle to them, modded or not.

FYI: Camaro is often mispelled. Camaro in some language means Friend, and Camero in some other language means Shrimp
 
Lancer! Lancer is a good car to buy early in the game. It's cheap, and has good performance for it's price. It won me many races early in the game.

Itll only take you 1000 races at superspeedway with the miata to get the escudo...jk...Go with a Lancer, all types of them are good but the Evo XI is the best of the lot...If not the Lancers then a Viper or a Camaro...

Camaro is THE best car to have for a second or third car. I've won tons of Golds using the Camaro SS as my second car.
For those of you new to GT3, this is a great, cheap price car in the beginning, but after a while it will take more the a SS.
The next thing is a Corvette Z06, I know it's hard to buy for your third car, the old version does look tempting I know, but go ahead and save up for a ZO6, and be prepared to stay with that car for a while. It'll win the races...

LMAO!!!! when did they make a lancer 11? they are only up to 7. THe best lancer IMO is the lancer evo VI T.M.E. This car has won me many of races. Also look into the mr2 gt-s, not the mr-s spyder. Its a quick car plus it has turbo so tuning is easy. It works good on the ametuer level turbo races, especailly grand valley.
 
Nah....save up and go for a Skyline r34 v-specII :) its olny 54$ and can go 200+ with a little over 1000+ horses under the hood :)
 
I bought 22B is my second car, now i am in the pro and still using that car :-)

it simply kicks ass, given its not as quick as a skyline but for tracks that don't have many straigh-ways it just kicks ass :-)

Yea you could but I would much rather have a MR-2 that goes 200+ with only around 550hp. I have a skyline r34 v-spec II and its ok, i use it more on my endurance races. Also I think the MR-2 is less expensive than the Skyline.
 
AHHH yes, just finished Simulation mode after 722 days. my second car was a Z28... god i love camaros. GT4 needs Pontiac and Firebirds. muahahahahaha.

Camaros handle extremely well for the car type--it holds my 3rd fastest time on Laguna Seca in Run & Setting.. 3rd only to my F094/S and Audi S4.

THE S4 IS BADASS!!! It rapes the TT as far as I've seen, and looks good doin it. I destroyed the computer in Arcade Professional with it too, fully tuned.
 
The Mustang is great once you get the parts and the settings down. Use that until you can get the Camaro Race Car, now THAT thing kicks ass!
 
Hey, been lurking a while now. I'm only at 45% complete having gt3 for about 4 weeks. I started with a Miata and did the majority of begginer league with it, tuning as I went. Second car I bought was a 300z still love that car though it takes a lot of playing with settings to really get it to perform. Won the Camaro race car and it plain kicks ass.
 
Hey, Creep, welcome to GTP! I just rolled over 50%, though I've been doing a lot of OLR competition, and I don't get a lot of time to play. Good to see somebody else whose idea of 'playing with settings' doesn't just mean fitting the biggest turbocharger the car will take.

The Camaro racer is a ball, true, but resist the temptation to use it for everything...:smilewink
 
Thanks for the welcome. Ive kinda been following a few OLR comps, mainly the GT40 open at Midfield, I tried the unmodded road car and came in at +6.00 off 1st (bleh). I think the funnest race Ive run yet was the endurance at SS11 using the Toyota GTone road car, the prime competition was a GTone race car. It was neck and neck for 20 laps in the end I only took 1st by pushing my tires and saving 1 pit.
 
You couldn't pay me to sell my Lancer Evo 5. That's my baby. I won most of Amature with it. Its yellow. Fully tunned and with a little bit of tweaking, I did all of the Rallies with it and won them (most of them) on the first try!
I never really used the Camaro SS all that much. After all of the wins with my Lancer, I guess I just overlooked it. The Camaro Race Car, however, was used for fun. Whenever I felt like a good drive, I would take out the Camaro Race Car. I also like the color of mine, its red and black.
As for the Mustang, I was already at Pro league when I bought one, and it couldn't take the heat from the other cars in the races. I also tried it as a rally car and it didn't work out.
Then I saved up for a Lotus Esprit 350. After that, I was wining cars till my nose blead. That car has almost 9000 miles on it. The horse power droped a little at the 2000 mile point, but that's expected.
I still haven't finished a few of the races (I skip around). Those are a few of the manufacturer cups like Vits and so on.

Back to the point, I vote for the Lancer as the best second or third car. It doesn't need any tweaking (or very little) and its got good horsepower. Also, don't save your money and get a car like the skyline or Escudo as your second car. You'll never learn how to tune things to get optimum performance out of them. That's just my opinion though. :)

But a good opinion it is. Winning with horsepower is easy, it just doesn't teach you anything.
 
My point exactly. I hate it when people buy an Escudo get Turbo stage 4 and hit the gas. They don't even steer. I have tried tuning it for weeks and the best I could get is a half decent turning radius in the beging of 5th gear (this is for the Escudo fully modded). The only reason I didn't sell it was because I wanted it as a trophy for winning all of the rallies. Same with the Skyline. I couldn't get it to turn period when I floored it. I mainly use the skyline to drift (my type of drifting). A really great car would have to be the Castrol Supra, which I currently use for all of my races now. Even when its fully modded, a little tweaking and it steers like an F1.
