Hi all,

I am having great problems doing the Professional Race - Race Of NA Sports.

I cant seem to find a car that I can win with, My best so far has been a TVR but even then I could only get to 4th.

Can anyone suggest a car please?

thx 👍

I would have thought an NSX would be a good car for this, I'm pretty sure it's NA, correct me if I'm wrong.

Can someone clarify 'NA' for me?

Does this mean the car can only be standard?

Im a little confused

Still having trouble with that Cerbera Speed Twelve huh?

NA = Naturally Aspirated. The other tuning options are Turbo and Supercharger. If you look at the tuning shop at the dealer that you're taking your car too, you'll see a "turbo" (purple) button and an "NA" (orange) button that you can click on to purchase upgrades. These three types of upgrades - NA, Turbo, and Supercharger, all add HP to your car in different ways, but only one of the three may be equipped at any particular time.
In order for a car to participate in the NA races, it cannot have any Turbo upgrades. I belive it also needs to be ABLE to be tuned to NA if you leave it stock. An NSX is a good choice for the race, I used a Dodge Ram with a State 2 and some other upgrades (but again, turbo and supercharger aren't eligible).

Try Honda nsx or S2000 or the new integra , with all n/a upgrades you should win the race easily. Eventually try some american muscles ;]

get the m3 csl, that did the job for me pretty easily! 👍

forgot about bmw ;] Or get new m5 it should also be good

I used the Cadillac CIEN '02 that I had won in Rally d' Umbria - Easy.

It felt like cheating - but hey, it does kick butt :dopey:

Think I used the Dodge Viper GTS for that race. I won easily.:)

I think I went with fully tuned Speed12. Ofcourse I had a tennis ball under the gas pedal... :)

I used the Honda Accord Euro R with very small modifications. That was pretty fun but it was a very close. What's the fun if you blow the competition.
For you, maybe you should try with an NSX and don't forget to turn all aids.

'05 Mustang GT is probably the cheapest and easiest way to get there, or a used NSX.
👍 Yep, bought a used NSX early on hoping there'd be another MR Challenge like Beginner Hall. When there wasn't I used it to win here w/only an Oil Change & Minor HP increase. (Header & Chip I think.) ...O.G. :D

I tried the Lotus Carlton, but it rejected me, eventhough I had never bought a turbo or supercharger for the car, nor was one installed stock... Probably some minor technicality that I has already been explained somewhere.

BMWs are good choices, as mentioned.

Do the capri rally easy, sell the prize car. Buy an 02' nsx-r and fully tune it. You don't have to tune it all the way to NA tune 3 or lightweight stage 3 but it wouldn't hurt, but make sure to do everything else run it on racing mediums. The car handles great and has acceleration like no other production car I own.

EDIT...I tend to overkill the power on my cars just for reassurance :dopey:(I didn't use the m3 csl but I bet that it would be a great competitor)

Lotus Carlton has 3.6 liter twin-turbo engine in stock ( 377bhp) ;] So it isn't n/a :)

Riiiiiiiight. I guess I thought that it didn't have one because of the absence of the turbo guage. My bad. I did know about the TT's, but didn't make the connection for some reason

My fully tuned Corvette Z06 did the trick. But it might be overkill if you want a challenge.

havent done ti yet, but I will prollt go a altezza mild tune :)

i bought a trueno shigeno version from the used car lot and tuned it a bit. enoyed the na race with this. it felt great beatnig all those powerful cars with a great handling underpowered car.

I think what I used was a Callaway C12. I had to use this because I don't feel like trailing the leader in a Le Mans race car when the other 5/6 of the field (including my machine) are moderately or lightly tuned street cars. I can tell you that if you have a supercar (meaning 493 hp Production Cars in GT4), then you're in luck to use that same car in the Supercar Festival. Always try to find as many races as you can to race your vehicle.

There are several flaws to the Callaway C12. First off, its handling on technical circuits isn't very good. But then again, it's no Cizeta, that's for sure! I think acceleratio and top speed are pretty good. If you're going to tune this car, look for a setup that brings together impressive handling and great top speed. Buy some mods. Mod it as much as you want. Nevermind A-Spec points (if that's what you're going for). Just mod to win. B-Spec the races if you're not that good, or if you're busy with something else. I think the Callaway C12 will suit you well. All you have to do is tune it to perfection. And again, if you're successful with it in the NA Sport races and you clear the series, immediately take it to the Supercar Festival if you haven't completed it prior to the Supercar Festival.
