Just picked this up from Gamestation today. I was speaking to the guy in the shop and he was saying that the 360 version has similar graphics to the PS2 version. He also recommended that I buy Fifa 07.

No thanks. Pro Evolution is THE best football game around.

Looking forward to this when I get home.

To be fair, I'm still impressed with the graphics of Pro Evo 5 on my PS2. Can't wait to pick this up in work tomorrow, Morrison's sell it for £40, so I can wait a day lol.

One thing, let us know if it has an edit mode and if so, is it as good as last years?

I'm picking it up tomorrow as well, £40's a lot for a game though, I'd normally wait to get it cheaper but I'm forking out for Pro Evo 6 tomorrow. It irks me that it's only £25 for the PC and £20 for the PS2 but I'll be playing this with mates on my overhead and the 360 version is supposed to be cut down options wise. I might pick it up for the PC and get a couple of new PC pads.

I wish I didn't bother getting it this afternoon. It looks pretty ropey, but the worst thing is, the edit mode only lets you change player's names and stats. So the clubs have to stay with their look-alike kits and fabricated names. Quite frankly I'm appalled at such a backwards step. First thing tomorrow, I'm getting the PS2 version. There's only eight stadiums, which along with the poor editing features, takes the game back to the ISS Pro days and it is quite franlky, not enough. There's also no PES shop, no apparant way to view stored replays, so I doubt you can store them.

It's just like Tiger Woods 06, with cut-down features. A year after the consoles launch, that just smacks of laziness.

I didn't spend money on a new console and HD telly to be given slightly better textures and scrawny looking stick men. The game looks very ugly when moving, simply because everyone looks so skinny.

Thumbs down for this one, I do hope next years game does the X360 and Pro Evo fans justice.

But does it play well, are the controls and gameplay better than 5?

As with all new PES games when you first start playing it seems really awkward but it's just a case of adapting to the gameplay.

The graphics are very similar to PES5 on PS2 and Xbox 360. I bought the 360 version because my PS2 has a habit of scratching my disks now. I have to admit I hate using the 360 controller to play PES6 but I will get used to it.

The guy in the game shop said he recommends Fifa 07 because the graphics are "glossy" as he put it. I would rather have the gameplay than brilliant graphics. I think that's where FIFA fails everytime.

I agree, I've got Pro Evo 6 myself now, great game. the graphics arn't special but the gameplay is exactley what you'd expect from a Pro Evo game.

It is a much more satisfiying attacking game than last years, which was far too catenaccio for my liking. There was nowt fun in conceding or being fouled with silly little challenges. This year you can attack more freely and some of the moves you have to build up to makes shooting space make it similar to how Arsenal (my team) play at their best.

If it's anything like the PS2 version I think you should try it out. FIFA '07 is a good game actually. I won't write down everything I said again, so if you're interested in my opinion about it here's the link: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2453394&postcount=5

Too bad PES6 didn't evolved much from the PS2 version as it seems. I hope they don't do the same on the PS3.
