Well, I did some Time Trials last night, and to my suprise, they were easier than I thought! It's kind of interesting, because the first time that I tried doing the TTs was when I was at about 85-90%; I went over and tried the Elise @ Midfield TT, and, after trying for 2 hours, I simply gave up. Yet, when I tried it last night, I nailed first place the second time I tried it! (And the first time, I got second place). So, I've cleared away about 4 of the TTs, and gingerly wait for some time to complete the rest. Complex String is going to be a real bugger though. My [revised] agenda:

1. Time Trials- First off, I will finish the rest of the Time Trials to get them out of the way.

2. Endurance Races- Next, I will finish off the rest of the enduros that I have left, in the following order:
  • Grand Valley 300 KM
  • Trial Mountain 2 Hours
  • Special Stage Route 11
  • Tokyo R246
  • Mistral

3. Formula GT Race: Monaco- A new twist in my agenda. Once I finish the enduros, I will go do the Monaco race in the F1 series. Why, you ask? Well, being that it is the last race in that series, if I finish it now, I will be able to do the save'n-load trick, thus getting myself an F687/S, which, as you will see, will be the only F1 car that I won't have.

4. Formula GT Series Races- Then, as the finale, I will pit myself against the other F1 cars in the F1 series. I have purposely saved this for last, so that I can win 4 F1 cars in a row... an F687/S for completing the series (see above note), an F686/M for getting ALL GOLDS in Pro Mode, an F094/S for getting 100% completion, and an F688/S for completing Simulation Mode. This will give me every single F1 car in the game, since I already have an F090/S, and I will be winning an F094/H for getting ALL GOLDS on the enduros. Then I can party!

Wow, and I thought I planned a strategy...

YC: now that's some foresight.

I took the F1 race in a bit further, doing Seattle, Laguna Seca, and Monaco ahead of time. All I had to do was qualify at Seattle to take the series. But you knew that...

As of this time (77.9% or so) I don't have an F1 in my garage, so I may be forced to run it with the F094/H that I win from the enduro's. I had planned to attempt it in the F090/S. In racing the Series before, I remember the F688 getting butchered at Monaco (+4 laps), so racing Monaco before the series is a good thing. With minimal gear tuning, I think you can easily win the series in the F688. I have heard of people winning the series with the F090/s though. I don't think you'll stand a chance at "Test Course" in the F090/S. I'd advocate running a few test laps (10) at each race, before you start the series. My notes should give you a pretty good break down of what the competition runs.

I can't make any guesses as to my upcoming strategy (for the lack of available cars). And it looks to be a few months out for me. I still have 6 enduro races and most of Pro mode to finish. Considering work (Stuck in Vermont, 260 miles from my PS2) and marriage (time with the wife) it'll be mid August before I can wrap up the Enduro's. Which means it'll be my birthday by the time I finish.

One good point is that I have finished all of the time trials!.

Best O' Luck.

Thank you. :)

:D Well, I was thinking of doing that, but decided I might have more fun just doing as much as I can last. :smilewink

Okay, thanks for all the tips! *walks gingerly to the compendium*

Best O' Luck.
Thanks again. :)

Bump

Well, I have cleaned out most of the TTs, except, of course, the two hardest. *cries* I have the Tahiti Maze and Complex String TTs to do. I'm still 2 seconds off of the Tahiti Maze TT, and I have yet to even complete one lap of Complex String (I always manage to get the RGT's butt into the grass at the most inappropriate times). I'd appreciate some pointers for these two Time Trails. :)

He he I had simmilar problems with complex string at the start of the TT , I could barely complete the lap. This may kinda sound boring but its worth it. Yoiu must have loadsa money go and buy a stock Ruf RGT and do run and settings with it on the Complex String, this way you wont have to worry about going off the course. Also do you know complex string very well, by that I mean like the was you know what corner is coming up next? I had to familiarise myself with the course so I knew what turns were coming up, that was most of my problem.

Tahiti Maze I love this rally track so I am quite good at it, you have got to learn how to keep your speed up while going through those tight hairpins so you have to realy get the car to go sideways. Also the Tarmac sections (you know the bits at the beggining and the end) can take you by surpise. Around the edges of the track on the tarmac sections are little dirty bits (you know the dirt you usually drive on) try and stick to these they give the dirt tyres better grip than the tarmac.

Also ALWAYS SAVE YOUR GHOST IN BOTH CASES!
This is so you dont have to start from scratch (you probably knew this)

At the moment I have 1 race to do then I am 100%

I am an Idiot I left the LONGEST enduro for last Tokyo R246 Looks like its up to me and my Trusty TVR Tuscan to whip dem JGTC cars.

Oh Yeah Good Luck and may the GT god be with you!
