Probably totally warrantless, but Goodwood?

A lot of us have been looking with hungry eyes at each passing car-show (i.e. Geneva) as a herald of inbound GT6 content. Given the game's orientation, though, I'm suddenly wondering if perhaps we've been looking in the wrong direction.

Goodwood is approaching, and although I can't justify this in any logical way, does anybody else think it possible that PD might be planning to serve up some new content around the Festival of Speed? I'd love to see some new DLC, but even a Goodwood/Mercedes set of seasonals would be a nice addition to the absolute nothing we've seen as of late...

Any thoughts? (Mods, forgive me if this seems premature or irrelevant, but I've got a strong hunch on this one...)

My honest thought is that PD is just about done with GT6. There may be a couple of small updates, but I doubt GT6 will ever deliver what it's supposed to. It's nearly the end of March and we still haven't gotten February's content.

I think you might be on to something there :-D Let's hope so anyway.

I say... keep your eyes and ears open. Goodwood isn't done on GT6, from what I hear anyway.. ;)

I was wondering why they would only include the hill climb, which although cool, is probably the least usefull track ever in the game. Would really like to see the road course and rally added in, and some new classic race cars would be icing on the cake.

I have always thought Bentley was weirdly under represented in the game, maybe a few classics from Goodwood would help ballance things up!

More Goodwood special events would be welcome, so long as they stop patronizing us by forcing SRF on!

Weren't we supposed to get the other half of the game and monthly DLC?

You may be right, but there are some bits of the outrage that may be more cultural confusion, rather than anything else. My suspicion is that PD's silence is more connected to the Japanese notion of saving "face" rather than deliberate malfeasance. Apologizing for missed deadlines wouldn't jive well in the cultural context, whereas for us Western gamers, we expect to hear a "Whoops... Sorry about that" or something from a company that failed to meet our expectations (let alone a company who failed to meet their own promises and expectations). Long-story short, a Japanese company is unlikely to apologize if they still think that they can fix the problem at hand.

The Japanese impulse may be more to stay silent about the mistake and then try to "wow" everybody by dumping a colossal amount of unexpected content all in one shot.

Then again, we may just all be in the process of getting screwed over royally as all eyes turn from GT6 to GT7. The two options are about a 50/50 split in probability for me at this point. (Although I'm steadily losing faith, as well...) I guess I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for Goodwood!

Japanese face saving...that makes all the since in the world, kind of forgot about that part of their culture.

GT7...don't hold your breath, think back to how long it took for GT4 & GT5?!
