Hello everybody, I am new in this forum, let me tell you what happen to me after update 2.06. I use logitech G27, after the update noted that during any race and driving any car, suddenly power and speed of my car go down and all others cars pass me in few second, sometimes happens after 2-3 laps, somtimes after 200 meters. All aids are off, only ABS is 1, FFB 7 power assist off. I tried the pad instead of g27 and work fine, so console is ok, I tried playing NFS games and works fine, means G27 is ok, I am going crazy, if you have an idea please, help me, I am not able to play anymore.

I've read somewhere that maybe your brake pedal is constantly braking a little bit..

if is a pedal brake I should have the same problem on all the other games, but I tried NFS games and ferrari games and work fine. Thanks anyway.

I heard that you can't set the deadzone of the brake pedal in GT5 so that's why some have problems with the brake pedal if they're become too worn out.. (sorry for my bad english) but I hope you understand what I mean :)

To be sure try checking the red braking gauge while you notice your car is slowing down.

Look at the brake/accelerator indicator in the HUD when you're driving. If the brake registers- it's the red indicator- when you're not touching the brake, then you need to clean the connection to the potentiometer.

SHIFT and Ferrari Challenge isn't as precise in their requirement.

I had that brake pedal problem with my first Logitech DFGT. It was only about 1% engaged, but that was plenty to knock the top speed of the cars down by 30 mph and if I went in the sand I couldn't get back out.

Nothing to do with the update, just a coincidence. Your potentiometer are dirty. Search the forum there are lots of thread on how to fix it.
Good luck

thanks for all your answers and suggestions, this morning I cleaned brakes and throttle pedals with air spray and seems is going fine so far, I hope this was the problem. Thanks again

Yes, it happens to me as well.(but since a couple of updates and sometimes) It is the brake...i don´t know what happens but it keeps braking. I play and have more racing games that i need and i have no problems at all with my G27 only with GT5 maybe because it is quite sensitive.
I am going to clean my pedals and see what happens.

And the Nissan GT-R 2012 even if you lift off the gas the car keeps accelerating. (that is other bug too)

Few days ago I tried to clean the pedals, keep in mind that my G27 has 6 months, is still new. I used the air cleaning spray and professional spray liquid used to clean electronic equipment contacts, but still have a problem, I don't want to say that dipends by the last update (2.06) but it started from that moment. How is possible that after only 6 months can be a dust problem? Believe me, since I bought g27 I cleaned almost every day.

I have my G27 for about 6 months also and my throttle pedal was failing in similiar way. I have a spray to clean potentiometers, so I disassembled my pedals, put a generous amonut of this spray into each pedal (so I don't have to clean brake in next month) and push the pedals many many times, so the liquid gets and cleans whole working range of potentiometer (50 times, maybe more). Then wait about half an hour, so it dries off and it works like new now.

There was a lot of dust inside my pedal box, though.

Problem solved! Without taking off the cover, I just did spray a liquid used to clean electronic equipments, after spraying I push many times the brake pedal in a strong way, now is working fine since yesterday, problem did not show up during at least 5-6 hours, hope keep doing well. Thanks for your answers and help.
