Problem, need help! Race music turns itself off!

Hi everyone!

I have just recently (10 hours ago) bought GT5:P and have pretty much spent most of my day playing it! I absolutely love this game, everything is so real and well done.

I noticed that the music during races sometimes does NOT play!! This really bugs me as the soundtrack is awesome for this game, but it's no good if i can't hear it when I race! This happens more with single player event races. The arcade single player races tend to like playing the music more.

I have made sure that the race music is set to 100, I have not tampered with any options to turn the race bgm (background music) on or off, as I don't think such an option even exists. And like I said, out of ten races, the music might play the first to fifth time, not play on the sixth and seventh, plays again on the eighth and not play for the ninth and tenth time...it is really random.

Has anyone had the same issue?!
 
well it is a prologue...im just assuming some tracks or missing or theres a miss in the coding somewhere...but its not big deal.
 
Same here. I´ve bought the game since US launch and problem still remains...
 
The first thing I do when I get any Gran Turismo game is turn off the music. :lol: Sorry, can't help ya!

Sorry for such a stupid question, but maybe I didn't do enough searching, but I could not find a way to turn the music off in the options menu. Am I missing something?
 
In "Options", there's more options off the screen to the right.

You want the "Sound" one, which looks like a naked speaker with a white quarter-note in front of it. Setting any option to "0" turns it off.

Why would they include such a stupid feature? :dunce:

Sorry, I didn't realize I could scroll right, I was only scrolling down. Last night was frist night. Thanks for the help.
 
The strange thing is, I hate the soundtrack, but I can never be bothered to turn it off. I usually play GT5p when I want to drive for fun in real life, mainly because I have no petrol, can't afford any petrol, don't want to wait for it to warm up before getting enthusiastic with it, don't particularly feel like breaking the law, etc., so I just get straight in to a race, then realise the music is still on.

And to make things worse, I haven't noticed suffering from this 'feature', so its always on!

same as well 👍 i like to just concentrate on what im doing & listen to the engine, not have music distracting me in the background. Also sometimes when racing in a pack of cars, its hard enough to hear your own engine, let alone with music playing on top of that as well. With that being said, if there was a custom soundtrack option available, i would probably have a play around with that, just for fun.
