Problem redeeming Anniversary items

Finally got my GT6 Anniversary Edition today (new, unopened).

Loaded the PS3, updated to Version 1.3 then went to the PSN to re-deem my Anniversary items with the promotion code enclosed with the game.

All fine, code accepted.

I then clicked on the "re-deem" button (actually "Einlösen" on my PS3, as I'm in Switzerland).

It showed me an activity bar of five vertical bars that keep lighting up sequentially as if it was downloading.

It has been stuck trying to download the items, running through the five bars for five hours now!:nervous:

If I press O to go back it gives me the "not available command" sound.
If I press X it makes an "acknowledged" sound, but nothing happens.

I'm worried that if I shut down the PS3, I won't be able to "re-deem" the codes again if it thinks I already have

Any one else had this happen - if so, what did you do?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions 👍

I would say if the code went through you could find the cars on the download list. If it didn't go through it would still be useable again.
Doubt waiting longer at this point is going to make much difference.

In the end, I was automatically chucked off the PSN (presumably due to lack of activity) so I went back in, gave in the code again and this time it went through with no problems:tup:
