Problem with DFGT RA function?

Hey, not sure if it's just me or if others have or are having this issue. Noticed after the 1.05 update that my RA function on my DFGT will not allow me to turn the traction control on or off as I am driving. Anyone else having this issue or was this a part of the update. It happens both online and off and I haven't seen any changes in settings. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to get it working again if it's not part of the update?

Any help is appreciated.
 
Same here. I can no longer adjust TCS and ASM using the RA function in GT Life. I can still do so in arcade mode. I hope they bring it back.
 
I am guessing this was in response to people tweaking the settings during license tests where they weren't supposed to?

Seems over the top for sure...

Don't feel bad though, us with G27 can't access RA menu from the wheel at all... ever...

I've got a g25 and configured mine to bring up the menu with the 'x' button and select and tweak with the d pad. I would prefer a knob to twiddle though.

Yes the G25 got love, the G27 got hosed... not only can we not access the RA menu (even when you map it to the regular face buttons) we don't have an R3 or L3 button (the two outside red buttons on the shifter assembly).

This is actually WORSE than GT5P... somehow G25 is fully functiona, G27... nerfed >:(

That will teach you with your led's and quieter force feedback!

Not sure why they disabled the ra settings though on everything. Licence tests yes, everything else, no.

On top of my no sequetial shift stick too! :(

That was just my guess as to why... does seem like overkill so maybe there is another better reason but I can't think of it.
 
I've read that a lot of people mount a DS3 controller by the wheel somewhere, and since GT5 allows both controllers to work you can use it for all the other functions. I'm getting a G27 for Xmas and already have a spot on my rig picked out to mount the DS3, and it will be much easier to access than the buttons on the shifter. Not as good as having the buttons on the wheel work, but I guess we'll have to patiently wait for that ability.

Back on topic, I'm sad to hear I won't be able to use the fancy red dial on my DFGT for TCS during it's last few days of life as my wheel. I really only used it if I forgot to set it up in the pre-race menu though.
 
I agree. I never really used it unless I happen to have the setting incorrect and needed to fix however in reality, a real car with traction control can turn it on and off while driving so I would think it should still be possible in GT.

The problem is that you have to set it to controller 1 (so if you have a wheel plugged in it will default to at least controller 2) and you have to wake it up if it turns off. Also this means when you go to race with controllers (say with friends form multi or whatever reason) your controls are probably messed up.

I keep my DS3 next to my wheel but I have to remember to plug it in and swap it to controller one every time I go race and it's a pain :(

I usually don't need to use RA but occasionally (especially online) I will forget to change a setting or realize I want to tinker with this car a bit mid race and that is why RA is in after all ;)
 
I thought red dial on my DFGT was for forced feedback strength. Noob. Bought the wheel for vettel. I was exited the paddle shifters worked. Worth $130 ALL DAY!
 
My controller is plugged into slot 2 and it works fine with the wheel plugged into 1. I think there is a setting in the main options or something to allow that.
