Problem With Endurance Races

So I've recently gotten into the endurance races, and I am trying to get my trophies for Apricot Hill. I've run it twice now, and won both times, however the game calculated my position as 3rd and 5th for those races.

The first time I just ran the race all out and by the end of the race I was two solid laps ahead of all AI cars except the ones in 2nd and 3rd and I was about 1 and 3/4's of a lap ahead of them. When the race finished my name was at the top in 1st place, however my time as calculated by the game put me in 3rd and I got 3rd place rewards and trophies.

The second time I ran it I decided to stick with the 1st place car until the last two laps of the game. When I finished again my name was at the top, but my time as calculated by the game put me in 5th, even though again the offset times said 1 and 2 laps behind.

What's up with this? This is an hour of my life down the drain for nothing and it's irritating as hell!
 
Luckily it's not an endurance race!
 
The 20 minute race? Did you update the two mini updates?
 
I have indeed done all the updates.
 
I notice it today too.. sort of a bug.. I don't know why but when the timer finish the count down the AI just count the car passing the line first as a winner.. so if you wish to win next time block the cars or wait near the finish line and pass it just when the timer expire... hope it will work for you too..

So does that mean you can win the event by just doing one lap ??
 
maybe not working that way.. you still need to win the race and you still need to cross the line first....
 
Well this is crap. Poly needs to fix this ASAP!
 
You cannot win by doing one lap. You have to be in the lead AND pass the start/finishline first when the time is up.

Bugger.

I decided to let the timed raced be until this bug is fixed.
 
I ran a couple of the 24 mins races today.
When the time is up, and you are on your last lap, it does show you losing places as the AI crosses the finish line, but when you cross the line it puts you 1st and pays you for 1st.
 
Great! I got mad and subsequently ended the race...
 
Not sure why people are still having problems with this...thought PD had sorted it. I have done all the endurance races since they patched it and have been credited (stars and payout) with the win every time....I do slide down the order after the timer has expired as AI cars cross the line (was 16th on one yesterday as I crossed the line with 25 seconds to go) but automatically jump up to 1st when I win.
