...I thing I figured out why 919 is much faster then R18 '16, because KERS on 919 doesn't use up, while on R18 it does... Is it really possible that PD made so big mistake? I mean, I did tests on fuel consumption and noticed that standard cars don't use electricity at all (i3 for example, or LaFerrari with it's KERS), but giving one of the LMP1 cars ability to function properly and to other one a boost that it doesn't use up KERS is idiotic and really unprofessional...

WTF PD?

As far as I know, the energy definitely depletes on the 919.

You can easily see this by doing qualifying at Nurburgring GP course in yesterday’s daily. The first lap you rocket out of the final corner to start your first lap. As you exit the same corner at the end of your lap, there is much less power and your ghost will blow by you.

...then it isn't represented on steering wheel, ...did some digging 919 has around 900hp combined and it is AWD, but R18 '16... well, I didn't find anywhere specs for MR car, all I found is e-tron that is also AWD, but has around 830hp combined... so either it is PD not doing something right with R18, or there is really so big of a difference between those cars...

Looking at Monza GT1 race, the 919 were hitting around 1:31 on US, while R18 were hitting 1:32.

Cheers...

Yeah, I don’t think it’s modeled properly, but it’s definitey there. Just run a few laps somewhere at full pace and you’ll see that you lose acceleration from lap 1 to 2.

...would like to have some kind of indication of electric power on UI.

Cheers...

...if we at least had DRS zones etc on tracks... @is300_dino as far as I know, there was a nitro button on some of the previous games, also I think I saw those settings together with wiper assignment on G29 and T300rs in GTS lol

Use trail braking. Coast a bit more. Accelerate gently. Just press full throttle after 3rd gear, if possible. If you don’t brake enough and accelerate too much, you’re gonna deplete it faster.

Wow, I didn't even realize it was in the game. Why did they pull the display for it?

They make some truly moronic usability and game play choices in the name of graphics. I guess that's what you get when you have an artist at the helm rather than a coder or designer.

Real Driving Simulator...

At least they gave us fuel management, in the same way they could give us KERS management and KERS/DRS activation button...

I've been angry about the halfhearted nature of this version since it launched. You watch, this will be the last GT.

It’s not a button, but it works pretty good.
You just have to keep it in your mind. If you slide with your front wheels and feel your wheel goes light coming out of corners... your losing battery.

My ignorance is showing, I had no idea and this explains a lot about why I get so angry when it feels like my wheel is overheating and going into 'protection mode' after a lap or two, and also why I curse about how an AWD car is behaving like its rear wheel drive. :banghead:
