Please: only people with knowledge about logitech force feedback, should post in this thread!

YES...I finally bought the logitech steering wheel...its all good...allmost...its just that i drive with manual gearing,... but when i want to shift gear rapidly (down), (while doing sharp turns), I CANT SHIFT!!

ex. i want to go from 6th to 2nd as i brake before and entering corner, I usually gear down to 3rd and THEN go to 2nd when handling the center of the corner...but when i o this..its like the gearing get STUCK....why?..????because the wheel is turned all the left/right??????

i dont know, but i think it sucks!!!

please tell me you've experienced the same as me...because if you DONT..then i should go back to shop and get a new steering wheel!!!

Dude, get that looked at.

I changed over to the Logitech wheel about 6-7 weeks ago, and apart from the intermittant dropping out of the wheel (which I've now remedied by plugging the wheel into its own power outlet) I have not had this issue. I do the same thing, gives a nice little turn in at the apex (especially at Special Stage 11)

If you have a plough through the threads there are a couple concerning the GT3 wheel, and one or two people have mentioned issues with downshifting, although your's is the first specific mention of it occuring whilst turning.

I would definitely get that looked at.

i did a further check its not only when I do turns...I dont know....i'm mad!! but damn...the wheel REALLY gives the game new life, i'm concidering starting all over and complete the game ONLY by using the steering wheel....hehehhehe

You're dead right - the rally sections are freakin' amazing!

I noticed the shifting problems too. But I've lent my wheel to a friend until I finish the game with the DS2. I didn't want to start learning a whole new controller in the middle of the game.

So the Rallies are cool eh? I'll be sure to check that out.

Oh yeah - the wheel chatters away in your hands - the highlight is, I forget which track, where you come off the dirt on the wooden bridge, and you can almost feel the tyres slither along the wooden planks.

If WRC is as good through the Logitech wheel it will be fantastic!

I'm having the same problem with shifting as I turn and was wondering if it was just my wheel. the feel of the wheel is great, it really smooths out your lines and makes the apexes easier to hit. I've learned to downshift to the gear I need before I turn, but it can be frustrating in the middle of a heated I Linl battle.

Me too. "Good" to see others with the problem as well. Mostly I cope by downshifting before the turn, but I've found you can also overcome the problem by pumping the brakes or ease up on the gas while shifting. Doesn't always work though.
