Problem with sun in Toscana since update...*Fixed*

Just loaded up one of my own Toscana tracks and the sun completely wipes out the track for about 5 seconds when driving towards it. Totally burnt out..White.
It wasn't anything like that before the update. There was just a nice bit of glare but the track was still viewable.

My lcd is set to lower brightness so that is not the problem.
Checked setting in the game and I have it at lowest brightness.

Can someone create a small 3 sector track and let me know if you get everything burnt out instead of the normal glare.

My monitor is fine.
Can anyone suggest anything that I can check. If not, is there a way I can go back to the previous version?

Cheers

This happened to me in High Speed Ring after exiting the tunnel since GT4. Nothing new here. Part of the realism I suppose.

No. I know what you mean in HSR, but that is realistic.
This is a problem. 5 seconds without seeing the road is immpossible. I was just wondering if it was my PS3.
I had made 2 short tracks which I loved. Nice and flowing but they are unplayable now. Just created another with Tocsana and it is the same. It's not like sun glare...the part of the screen where the sun is shining is totally white....

Just tried HSR and it's ok as it only lasts for a second.
I think I better check the contrast..

It's not the patch. I had this problem before the patch. The best thing I found to somewhat make it less blinding was to lower the in game brightness to -10.

It's nothing to do with the update. I have had this before, it blinds you more than in real life. It's ridiculous.

Yes..I've already done that and set my contrast as low as poss on my LCD.
It is ok in cockpit view, the picture just goes a bit green but bumper is now unplayable at that track. Weird.

....it is there in cockpit view too.

Lol thats always been in the game.
Where you cant see anything because the sun is directly in front of you.
Theres a highway here where if your driving west at a certain time of day you are completely blinded for a good stretch
Some people just pull over to the side or find a big rig and use it as shade lol

No, I have just tried another track made with Toscana and the road is just totally white and I crash because there is no graphics there..just white.
I know the track very well. I drove it a hundred times and it wasn't like this. There are no rays from the sun. Anything with the sun on it coming towards me is totally washed out and any glare on the road is a smokey blue haze.

I think my PS3 might be faulty..only a year old though.

Can someone please make a Toscana tarmac track and just check it is ok before I try to take my PS3 back. :-) Thanks.

I have the same problem poe64. Regardless of whether it was there before or after a patch, this should be fixed. I highly doubt that such a blindingly white "glare" from the sun is realistic, or that they added it into the game on purpose.

The Toscana Tarmac is one of my favorite places to create tracks, but the issue with the sun blinding you is just ridiculous.

So it's not just you poe64.

Thanks for that Mc. It wasn't like that when I created the tracks, so I'm going to get back to the patch before this one and check it out.

Cheers

Don't turn the brightness down. I had this problem awhile ago. Turned out my brightness was under zero. So it was darker. I put it to zero and it wasn't a problem. I don't know if this is the same thing, but yeah.

how to fix?????
simply tap look behind button on approach it goes away i do this all the time at HSR

That fixed it. Problem went once I set brightness in game to +0 instead of -1.0

I was just about to delete my save data, so it was a good job I took notice, though it doesn't make sense to me. :-)

Thanks again.
